How to recognize Ray Ban aviator 3025 REAL vs. FAKE 

Ray Ban should make an unique code for each pair to check their "REAL"! For exaple, Sennheiser do this with some hight end headphones...! We are going to pay 150$ for some sun glasses, and we really want to pay UV and quality! ;)

I know a lot of buyers, especially if you've never owned a pair of expensive sunglasses, are thinking that this price is too much for sunglasses. I was thinking the same too when i bought this since it was the first pair of sunglasses i paid more than 20 bucks for. First of all, I have to say, this sunglasses is excellent as far as quality goes. The quality is not comparable to any cheap flimsy sunglasses. I felt this sunglasses and its significantly heavier and way more balanced than my previous pair of sunglasses. With the quality, it makes sense that lots of reviews claim that ray bans last way longer.

Fake ones only cost $20, real ones cost hundreds and they look the same, I recommend the fake ones

Cool vid, quick and to the point. Yes the copies are very close, but the quality - especially of the lenses - cannot be guaranteed. Dont expect to protect your eyes with them! Another good way to pick knock offs is with the accompanying pamphlets and manuals. My knock offs were poorly printed, with bad spelling grammar. Ask to see all the stuff that comes with your sunnies before you buy. :-) Thanx again for the cool vid, I think I mostly like it because the tune takes me back to TopnGun!!!!!

fake boxes have the normal flap with a sticker stuck on but genuine ones have the end where it's not a flap so you can only open the box one way..on ebay there are sellers claiming genuine ones but the end of box sticker looks fake, plus selling them cheaper then genuine like £80 but a total rip of for fake, yet the buyers are all pleased with them!

Got my aviators directly from Ray bans website customizer was awesome mine didn't have any stickers on the box never seen customized ones come with stickers on the box but every other ones have.

Please answer. Do all ray ban models have an "RB" scratch on the right glass in addition to the "ray ban" signature on the left one? I've got a pair of glasses. The signature on the left written "ray ban" is there. But there isn't the "RB" scratch on the right side of the glass. I've seen a lot of ray ban glasses with that scratch but my pair hasn't got it. My model is Ray Ban 3362 Cockbit Brown. Does this mean it is fake?

Since you have both of these, I have a question. I bought a cheap $30 pair online (used) thinking they were knockoffs, and proceeded to destroy them as if they were (drinking incident). Took them to a store and apparently, the ones I broke were around $200. They were the 58mm RB3025's. The frame is the only damaged part, where the nosepieces are have broken off. Will the lenses interchange with the frame from the knockoffs? Those are the only reason I'm hanging on to the actual Ray Bans now.

You either got it mixed up or it's done on purpose. I purchased an original Rayban and being the skeptical me, I still did a double check online just for the fun of it. Matches everything that an original should have. Your video on the other hand, is so wrong. The nose pad shape you mentioned, do make a walk into a authorized rayban shop and check out if the shape of the nosepad RB is as you mentioned. Because it is not. Not to mention also the engraving of the codes, it isn't suppose to be so clear, bold and big as you displayed it. Even your casing looks wrong, both of them. When you display the real and fake next to each other, at certain parts, both looks fake to me. I hope you realize that and does not mislead people into buying fakes. But if you are as well honestly bought a fake without knowing it, I suggest you bring them back and check the distributor's authenticity with Rayban.

Both are real and both are fake. My point? All from the same source. Just depends on the quality of the materials. As far as UV protection, if you are in doubt, bring them to an optometry and they can test them with their machine to verify UV protection.

The fake glasses doesnt have just one look, they come in all variations. They keep correcting their mistakes so its becoming more hard to spot the difference. Very wrong to say that the original comes with a different cloth etc, cause the fake producers pick up on stuff like that and imitates the real ones better and better.

The real one has an etched RB in the left side of its lense.

Well i paid 160$ for mine at Sportcheck here in Canada. Its so hard to tell the fake ones apart from real. Is it possible sportcheck sold me a fake pair?

to be honest i'm not sure ALL the details shown here really mean some glasses are fake (and i see one commen on plastic snaps that seems to agree), but the nosecaps and a couple other details are good to know. ps. i'd see the similar videos a bit in a hurry, but i'd got the idea that the recycling symbol on the box is usually on the real ones? i'll double check...

Luxotica makes all the brand name glasses. They use the same materials for all of the glasses. But they justify adding a 400 dollar price tag by adding Gucci to them or Ray Ban. It's all a ripoff they make huge profits out of people who think brand name sunglasses are a status symbol.

Go to "ASK.COM".........They will tell you that some models of Ray Bans are made in China. I think since about the 1990's. It's a good and lengthy article about the locations of the manufacturers in China and what model/series are made there.

I got sold a pair of these from Vision Works and there is no Ray Ban logo on Lenses. I hate to think that a major chain would be stupid enough to think I wouldn't know the difference. $370 I am taking them back and getting refund or REAL Ray Bans

Mostly because I'd rather destroy a hybrid pair (fake frame with real lenses) at a collective loss of $50 than the $150 pair of real ones I have now.

The fakes are really good so why the hell will i buy the real ones that cost 5 time the price of the fake ones ?
