For some reason fl keys isnt getting any signal from my midi keyboard. I can hear everything fine but recording isnt working (through FL keys) and the notes I push down arent getting pushed down in the fl keys gui.
Go in options (in the top left of the FL Studios) and then MIDI Setiings and then u will se a list of pianos select DIGITAL KEYBOARD from there and set the ports (there will be 2 ports) to 5 of above and bottom and in the Second list in the bottom right of the list click THE ENABLE BUTTON until it's green and then click on the close button. Hope so that will help u surely...
hello, maybe you can help me, when I record chord strikes with my midi usb keyboard on the second pass of the loop the notes remain to be played as if I had maintained the chord from the beginning to the end of the measure.... Where is the problem ? Thanks for your help .
thankuu so much man not only i learnt how to record stuff on fl thru midi controller but a lot of basic things i was super confused by having no idea about it. be at itttt
4:17 Is it going to make the sound in the DAW also, if I'm not recording? 'cause I can't decide whether I want to buy a keyboard or a midi keyboard controller... Since the keyboard can also be used for simply playing and singing along.
As long as your keyboard has midi connections you can use it to control instruments in your music software. A keyboard with speakers would be better for you as you can just play and sing along. A controller just controls virtual instruments it has no built in sounds.
it was 2019. now 2021 no 1 wants asio 4 all... Go real asio. Asio 4 all uses more CPU cycles, so you got less CPU room for a powerful song. Sure asio 4 all helps on delay, but the sound is still less and uses more CPU power then using real Asio.
For a DAW, Short answer hell yes:) I reconmend (budget one) the ESI Maya44 EX. (note, it has 6.3 mm jacks, not 3.5mm like a soundcard. FL Studio sounds way more powerful on it, more clear and you can run on 1 a 2 ms on asio mode.. Also this card is duplex, meaning you can also record on asio or play youtube etc at the same time) Other card I tried who do has ASIO as well, but its a movie/gamer card is the Creative AX-5, 7 or 9. (But if asio is enabled on that card, all windows sounds stops working untill you exit Fl studio (so no youtube, no netflix sounds works) Anyhows the maya44 ex is better in my eyes for a DAW. (its a stereo card, not 5.1 or 7.1 )
@@briondalion OK m8. FOr now with the onboard soundcard, then I do reconment ASIOALL on your system. You just have to go to FL Studio options, go to sound option and increase the buffer size 512 or 1024 (click the asio for all icon) Your song(s) won't stutter then.
If you've bought a soundcard use the soundcards asio driver. If you just have FL Studio use the FL Studio asio driver. Asio 4 is an old driver and FL Studio's created their own driver so no need to use Asio 4 all anymore.
I just connected my synthesizer via usb printer cable and as long as FL Studio picks it up you can record what you play from your controller or keyboard into FL Studio.
