I have to say was I quite impressed by the quality of vocals that came from the mic on my iPhone and a little bit of finesse on the settings on GarageBand. What you think!?

Yeah garage band is definitely a hidden gem that not enough people talk about when talking about iPhones, it’s even better on iPad, the digital instruments sound great once you learn how to use em and tweak em. Very user friendly, and if you’re off beat on a drum track it’s got quantization to put you back on beat. It’s amazing what a device that fits in your pocket can do

The only one I’ve actually found so far that helps... goodness I literally have been trying to figure out something... bought a mic I have to return because it showed an iPad hooked up.... with a splitter... I literally just want to record the christian songs I sung to my child before they were an adult... Last night three hours later I still couldn’t figure out how to work with this samson g track pro it will be returned. Thank you for this video.

ok - so you have got to be the first person I’ve seen just use the mic on the iPhone, that’s dope. I’m using a cheap usb mic in the car, you just gave me an idea, thank you for that. Also, I had no idea that you could pull up the Apple Loops and change instruments and the loops still play, ANOTHER idea. Oh and your voice is absolutely amazing! 🤩 😍

@@itsBreanaMarin Well, my inquiries are mostly mechanical (position of the iPhone, do you use a holder, how far o you keep it, is ti different for voice and vocals, do you ever use a pop-filter or foam). Those are the key details, hehe. Happy if you can share, as I need to do some pro demos for my trio this week! I’m just starting and I am afraid to record vocals since I can’t sing nor do I know how to use GarageBand . So I was looking how to record over an instrumental piece with my condenser mic connected to my iPhone . This tutorial break down the basics to least help me get toward that right direction
I think the adapter is for her to connect the sound from her phone to her headphones. You can use regular earphones without the adapterI’m pretty sure.

I just realized I have another question what if you’re doing this with an instrumental instead of making a beat as you go? I saw another video where a girl was using one phone to hear an instrumental whole she used her phone to record. I tried that but the issue came in was that I couldn’t get the instrumental and my voice to be on same time lol
Try finding the tempo of the beat and link up the tempo in GarageBand with the vocals. You might need to move the vocals around until you find the right counts
You can add instrumentals into the same work bored as your vocals ! And once everything is finished you can merge the two / multiples to become once track
I always like to record toys on GarageBand. And it’s hilarious. The reason why I like to do that is because I am a toy lover, and I’ve been changing the pitch on toys just to give a funny effect.
It’s for her to connect her sound from her phone to her headphones. If you use regular earplugs that apple gives I’m pretty sure that will work out fine as well.
@@ssilver500 your phone has a built in mic .. you dont need an additional mic on your headphones, and the mic on your phone is better than the mic on your headphones
Breana Marin so let’s say I want to record and I have a beat but it’s on my files instead of Apple Music, will it work? And also, when recording with the phone mic, can I use the headphones still to hear the beat or how does that work?
I have to say, this video seriously changed my life in 10 minutes. I sing, i love to sing and make music but I had no idea how to. I made a song in 10 minutes after watching this and posted it and got amazing feedback. Please know when I become successfull you're getting credit love!! :)

I currently use a school Chromebook and make my music off of Sound trap, an online beat making website. My music is good, but it lacked the audio portion. You have a new subscriber here.
