I just came across this! Great video! Quick question: obviously you are using UA Console to control inputs into your Apollo and to feed into your DAW. Are you using any Unison plugins (i. e. Neve 1073, etc.) or just the pedal board cab simulator into the Hi-Z input straight through into the DAW?
That is really nice and simple to understand my only question is in which input did you route tour board on the Apollo? I have a Clarett 4 pre with 4 ins combo in front and 4 ins instruments in back. If I want to record a stereo Strymon Big Sky at end of chain in Logic Pro where do I connect the board on interface? Thank you and well done!
Torpedo CAB M is an Amp & Speaker simulator pedal and only mono recording is possible. It is located at the very end of the pedal board and the output connect to Apollo's line input 1. but in your case, Big Sky has a CAB filter. The cab button on and the Left & Right outputs connect to Clarett's inputs 3&4, 5&6, 7&8 wherever you want or connect Big sky's outputs (CAB filter off) to Clarett's input 1&2 with 'inst mode' and using the amp and cab sims in Logic. Good Luck. Cheers.
Question: Wouldn't it make more sense using your pedalboard as an outboard fx chain instead of making all the decisions before you recorded straight into your DAW? Besides, it limits the possibilities during the mix.
Yes. It is the simple way to record guitar! Currently, several pedals have been replaced, but the most essential pedal Torpedo has been replaced by Simplifier. Click the link below to check out the recent pedal-boards. Cheers. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GAh0XU6MT_U.html
@@funkyman_guitar thanks for the help. I'm new to guitar recording and I've seen people using a different box/device after their board and before their interface. Happy New Year. ^_^
Late to the party, but I'm running my pedalboard through a Strymon Iridium, into my Universal Audio Arrow interface, but the signal in Logic is just average. Stacking pedals results in clipping, and if I lower the output levels, then the signal is super weak. Is there a piece of gear or a setting I should change in order to fix this? I'm just wanting to capture the sound of my pedalboard when I record, but seems like I'm constantly never getting close 😅
3tips for quiet is Free The Tone Solderless cable, Strymon Zuma power, TC Electronics Sentry and I didn't set up all pedals in Series. If you wanna refer to the signal chain, Pedal board and diagram pic is on my RU-vid Channel at community tab. Cheers.
Of course because The pedal at the bottom left of the pedal board is the Preamp and The C.A.B. M right above it is the Power Amp and Speaker simulator. But I'm not using those pedals right now and I'm using something else. If you want watching my new pedal board setup, click the link below. The Hi-Z function increases the input gain to a level that can be recorded well when the guitar is plugged in. In other words, If you only have a guitar and cable, but want to record, you can use it but Various effects (Delay, Reverb, Compressor..etc) and Amp&Cab simul can be achieved by using the GuitarRig or VST built in sequencing program (Logic, Cubase...etc).
Unfortunately, The pedalmaker no longer makes pedals. He is a Korean and the pedal is only known in South Korea. so It will be hard to get it abroad and also not easy to get secondhand in Korea as well. Dogma is a replica of Ethos clean, so It will be easier to get Ethos than Dogma. Good luck! Cheers!
