I've bought focusrite Studio solo 3rd generation bundle. Is the Air feature like a preamp ? Can i use the plugin of the focusrite you mentioned as a device as a preamp when recording on the input channel? Thank you
No it's not, the air feature adds a slight boost in the high frequencies, which makes the recorded source more airy! I don't know the plugin you're talking about but I guess it's a virtual interface right? I guess it simply mirrors the real/hardware interface to have an easier access to the parameters. To adjust the input gain, you can simply use the "gain" knob: green okay, orange be careful and red you're clipping. Quite intuitive! I hope I fully answered your question
@@ideez_ yes some kind of virtual preamp, as software or vst. I have a buzz when I record though and I managed to make a mic stand with cardboard to keep the mic straight so I or the rapper don't have to keep the mic in their hands because then it makes more buzz. Any tip on how to remove that? It's not a floor noise it's more like a electric noise , I managed to remove after the recording with Edison stock plugin on FL Studio, but I would like to remove as much as possible so I won't have to remove it with Edison because it might affect the vocals . Thank you, Emgodas.
@@mychess5821 Not really comparable, preamps are designed for amplifying the signal but good interfaces such as the apollos have very good preamps as well. I'd say tho that having a preamp is something you don't really need until you become semi-pro in the music field
@@ideez_ Yeah even I thought so. It looks like a device for audio engineers or something. Also needs a proper studio and accessories. So won't fit in the budget or even expensive category. By the way, u have helped me out, so I would love to do something for u that will help u, I insist. Thanks bro.
