Disclaimer: Before recording the phone call, make sure you search and understand your country to state laws. In most cases, you cannot record a phone call without getting permission from all parties on the call.
The easier way to record calls that are going to be recording in good quality is by using an app. There are dozens of apps that record phone calls. One of the easier and highly rated apps out there is called Voice Recorder and Audio Editor.
It's a voice recording call with lots of features including phone call recording.
Phone call recording for the app has a free trial and a paid subscription.
The other option is creating a three-way phone call between you, the person you are recording, and your own voicemail. This will record the call inside of your voicemail.

FYI all of these videos on recording phone calls stating that most states require both parties to know the call is recorded is false. Of course there are states that require that but mini states the statute reads that at least one person Hass to know that the call is being recorded. Indiana is an example of one of those states

Were there any that you tested that did not require you to merge the call? Thanks in advance. When you merge the call it creates about a one to three second buffer and for business you often miss the introduction of the person you are calling. Hopefully there’s an app out there that doesn’t require this. Great video!

That was a good review. Although he is confused about wiretaping laws and what one party consent means. So no...In most states you do not need to inform the person you are recording they are being recorded, provided you are one of the parties on the call.

In UK, it is legal as long as it's only for your own use, without the need for consent. Just in case someone in the UK is watching.

Check your state laws. The statement at the beginning is inaccurate. Most states have a single user law. You can record a call, as long as you are in the call and don't have to notify anyone else. Only 1 person on the call needs to be aware that the call is being recorded. 3rd party calling, where you record others, without your participation, is illegal everywhere. But, it DOES differ between states. You must check your state laws for confirmation.

Thank you. The app links out to the wiki page that breaks down single user or everyone state by state. In my state, all parties have to agree. Hence I mentioned that in the beginning as the scenario. But looking at the list, looks like the majority of states only require single party unless you call someone in another state that has a different law. I also see a lot of countries with different rules. So people should really click on that page before moving forward

So it was already asked twice but I’ll ask again. I do understand the process. Our question is?? If you receive an incoming call. Can you put that received call on hold, use the app, and merge the phone calls? therefore accomplishing the recording of the conversation objective?

The three way is the recorder. So you’ll need that to record the two way call

Thank you for the info! It sounds very useful but it seems a bit complicated just for call-record. Well, US law is fine but US isn't the world. I wish iphone has built-in call recorder like Samsung. I have trouble hearing with bad connection or quick speakers on mobile and often I have to ask people to repeat. It's irritating for both sides. I think I'm going to change from iPhone to mobile that has built-in call recorder for practicality.

for the record samsung phones haven't been able to record calls since android 9.0 came out because starting with android 9.0 the god google dictated that, all the android phones that google had nothing to do with the manufacture or distribution of and which send and receive calls over cell networks which google has no affiliation with are forbidden from having the capability to record phone calls, apple has done same thing which is why the record call option that used to be a standard feature is no longer there........

Since United States is not the only country in the world, recording calls for one of the parties involved is legal i.e. in every European country, without notifying the other party. The difference is between the possibility to record (which is compared to taking notes) and distribution of the conversation, which has a different legal regulation. So please explain Apple they should stop their paternalistic policy, as the world doesn't stand under US regulations and this silly policy harms journalistic work.

Wow, that really is kind of complicated. I am glad I don't need that service. If I did this would be the one but at $10 a month, I guess it would be worth it for a real business. My iPhone is set to, if the number is not in my contacts list it just goes to voice mail.

If this app is used as a voice recorder only can you record something, save it and then at a later time add more to what had been previously recorded?

As far as I know, each time it records it as a New clip. So you would have to use something to edit the clips together later. I don’t think you can continue to add it an existing clip

What he’s saying is false. Yes, you have to check the law in your State, but in many places, it’s a one party consent when it comes to recording calls.

Record calls? Business do it all the time for training. You may also want to record a business call to review later or some people may do interviews this way and need the exact quotes to write articles or news. There are lot of legit reasons to record calls

Consent is not required for recording all calls. Not even close. Many jurisdictions are one party consent. Otherwise, for example, police could not record their undercover costs. You do need consent or judicial authorization to record OTHER PEOPLES' phone calls.

This sucks! I downloaded and tried it and the problem is it beeps every 5 seconds as you’re talking to somebody!!!

Try call recorder pro.. u pay a one off fee then that's its.. records perfectly no beeping and provide you pay the one off fee to keep it permanently you can record as much as u want
