Will this work if SATA SSD with SanDisk controller and flash stopped being recognized as a device at all? Neither connected directly to motherboard, nor via SATA-to-USB adapter.

I must get lucky with ssd's and hdd's from friends computers. I have always been able to recover their data just by putting the drives into an external enclosure and plug into another computer and find and save all of their data without any special equipment
If you understand File formats and bytes and bits and binary format. What happens is when this SSD was dead, it meant the File allocation Table was in disarray therefore Windows OS could not access to it. So, it was plugged and the software specialized for this es capable of finding all the bytes and bits, and reconstracts the FAT and you are a success.
PC-3000 I think that is a propiotary software, it also comes with hardware like and adapter or controller to d an indepth analysis and data recovery. Last time I check, this software and the hardware is manufactured by a company in Czech republic and the cost is about $20,000.
