We added a water feature to mask road noise and it worked perfectly. Also useful for privacy when you are having a conversation you don't want the neighbours to hear ha ha.

Wish we can do this allover our house. We move to quiet village 20+ yrs ago. Few yrs back, d government ask to take our side fence w lil money to make bypass road inside our village, beside our house. Give it. Then d workers smoking while working at d back of our backyard fence. Smart. Our chainlink fence got melted by bush fire they made. Until now their road work didnt finish yet. But d youngsters starts motorbike racing at day. D oldsters starts car racing at night till morning. Well done government. Dont know how much it will cost to re-build d fence all over our house again..
it would be better that comunnity learns how to behave ... so that your neighours don't need such a measures................. if you talk: whisper in your garden. if you have a party: go to a party center.. local government should be much stricter with their regulations!!!!!!!!! be gentle to your neighbours and don't make noise , talk normally and don't use your garden as a theme park.
@@promophobe69 Exactly, all this stems from people that don't have enough money or are unwilling to move where they can have enough property for it to be quiet. If you live around others, you WILL notice them. Period.
I couldn't disagree more. Your personal comfort level with noise and activity outside of your property is YOUR problem. Most cities have ordnances around this stuff but it has to be pretty egregious. The fundamental problem is that YOU are asking that someone enforce, physically and/or financially that others, outside of your property, behave in a manner that you approve of. Fundamentally that means that you are trampling on the rights they have on their property. It's a question of your comfort level, which may not seem unreasonable to you but might be QUITE far out of the norm, and whether your preferences should decide an enforced standard. I believe they absolutely should not, and I've seen this play out in some very crappy ways with HOA's here in the US. Crappy as in people forcing neighbors to pay lots in fines over the sound of children playing. Ridiculous, self important, and pathetic. If you don't like living around other people, save your money and move somewhere that you don't have to live so tightly packed in with others. If you choose not to, that's your decision. If you don't have enough money, that's your decision around what's most important to you.
