@@DianTomov_ST_Dupont_Lighters No!!! Don’t!! I know this is old but especially a Dupont. It will clog and ruin it. Use refined 3x at least. You will spend more on broken lighters or torches than the couple of dollars saved on months of butane. I use Newport zero or whip its.

Sure you are right but 20€ for 30ml for a 150€ ‐ 300€ lighter is an insult, while Colibri fuel is 20€ for 400ml. But guess what? You need their 13 times the price fuel just because reasons.

My last conclusion is from many year ago I used S.T refilling gas, it was small, aluminum cylinder shapes who works perfectly fine, just screwing it to the lighter and its done..but now im unable to find it anywhere because its discontinue.. the new version is a useless piece of rubbish.. its 3 times more expensive .. when I screwing this garbage to the lighter its turns forever without getting tight, nothing happens, when I press this sheets down, all gas scapes out, nothing goes to the lighter.. I ordered adapter just like you and its works fine.. thank you

@@MititeluRadu You don’t need their overpriced butane. Colibri is one of the best and will most likely have the same performance or not even noticeable. But the difference between universal gas and whip its for example is night and day. Flame is larger and it ignites easier.

I just bought a $2000cad st dupont line 2. I actually did research on this topic rather than think that the words that come into my head randomly was considered an opinion like some of these comments. St dupont butane is actually only 3x refined and has more impurities than many competing brands. I found the best available gas blend chemically to use in my lighter and it is not ST Dupont (not even close). For $90cad you only get 60ml of ST Dupont butane. The gas I bought was 72 times cheaper. You are purely paying for the branding and because ST Dupont does not mass produce their product, like many companies who specialize in it, it costs them more to produce and ship. If you think spending $90 on 60ml of butane is a good idea then you are probably very bad with money. Butane and propane are not expensive. Are you even aware that there is about 30% propane in these butane blends? Pure butane would not work in your lighter well. So no you are not correct this is actually a very simple thing to research. What is the exact chemical makeup of their product and how pure is it. That information is available. The product I purchased is 11x refined and approved as a specialty culinary fuel used for searing. You can even just use Xikar. It is literally no worse than ST Dupont fuel and that is a scientific fact.
