to prevent any penetration of metal into the melting pot, using porous melting pots and graphite pots can cause loosing a huge amount of platinum

It will completly burn up into H2O (l) and CO2(g). With such high temperatures they will simply evaporate and be gone

Depends on which metals do you have!I suggest that you have standard mix of 10×Pt/1×Rh/10×Pd right?*that is the proportion of PGMs in cat converter material!😉 The way I am implementing is following:first of all dissolving palladium with nitric acid,than applying hot aqua regia and wait until platinum dissolves completely-filter rhodium sponge-adding Sodium chloride until no reaction happens and than drying the solution to completion-re-dissolving the solids in anhydrous ethanol and so having all the rest of rhodium in form of sodium hexachloro rhodate(Na3RhCl6),which is completely insoluble in ethanol-smelting rhodium sponge together with washed by ethanol filtered sodium hexachloro rhodate which obviously decompose and so get the beautiful rhodium bead,than the rest of the solution containing all platinum in form of sodium hexachloroplatinate and hexachloroplatinic acid in ethanol so what I usually do next is I ignite everything and so get the platinum sponge embedded in some leftovers of all previous steps so since they all volatilize before the platinum melts so just smelt it and here we are!😉 If you have any other elements instead I can anyway help you in separating them!

More specific: Have you attempted to sell your refined Platinum, and if so, to whom. It seems most Gold and Silver buyers will not touch Platinum unless stamped as such.

Gregory Peeper dont sell it to those gold and silver buyers anyways you will loose money if you do. find a precious metal buyer and talk to them. they pay anywhere from 95% to 98% spot.

You just convert honeycomb to powder from by help of ball mill and then you do chemical process with aquaregia (3PART HCL+1PART HNO3) AND WATER OF HOW MUCH WEIGHT OF HONEYCOMB OF CAT, AND SECOND METHOD USE (4PARTH HCL+1 PART H2O2), OR PUT POWDER IN FURNACE AND MELT ON APPROX 1800 DEGREE CENTIGRATE.
