We are 2 artists trying to release the same song on both of our listening platforms, how do we make sure that the song goes live on both of our pages ?? if we add both of us as a main artist, does that ensure that the release shows up on both of our listening platforms. Once you release your first song, a new artist account will be created on all digital streaming platforms by the name of the artist of that song, you can claim them after you release the song on Spotify for Artists for Spotify, and Apple artist is a separate area where you can claim the apple profile. 3. Best way to utilise the time before your song release is Spotify editorial playlist pitching (not possible on your first release) and make campaigns and promote the song everywhere you can. Just focus on promotions

Thanks Brother, for explaining process as live helps a lot. I have a question, it will be good to get your guidance, really appreciated. My brother is lyricist and he produce songs, by hiring well-known artists, composers and music studio etc, basically he owns the music legally. He has few albums now (each album contains 6-8 songs) In your video, 'PAY-PER-RELEASE' is pretty clear, so I understood, we can go with 'PAY-PER-RELEASE-Album' where he can defined his name as 'Main/Primary Artist' as Writer/Producer and then add other artists (singer, composer etc). Question is - If we go 'Professional - Unlimited Plan', can we do the same thing, as we can mention his name as Primary artist and other artist as secondary (eventhough these artists are well-known and have many other songs released on their name already)? Which one suits us better ?

See, who all you want to keep in primary artist is totally your call and also depends on the type of contracts you've done with fellow artists. Also if you take the unlimited professional plan, you'll have to pay an extra ₹1000 per artist if you have more than 1 primary artist in any of your releases. So the price they quote includes only 1 primary artist, then it's additional ₹1000 for every new primary artist.

Hi Thanks. Your videos are helpful. QQ - I am releasing my audio for the first time via tunecore. I already have a youtube channel but no content id. 1. Where will i get the content id? 2. Do i need to have a video ready when i am releasing on tunecore. 3. Is it preferrable to create a new youtube channel to upload my original content or i can use my existing youtube channel for the upload?

1. You'll get content id on each song you release based on the eligibility of it. If your release is eligible and you select the content id while releasing, then you'll get content ID on that song. Content ID is not on the channel, it's on songs. 2. Video is not necessary, music videos and audio releases are totally separate things. No Distributor will ask for a music video and it doesn't matter if you want to release one or not. 3. It is preferable to keep your RU-vid channel's content based on music, if it's related to music in any way, you can release your originals on the same

Yes, producer means 'Music Producer' and you can choose any platform as per your choice. You have the freedom not to choose RU-vid if you don't want it

QQ - Suppose My Song main title is Vande Maataram but it also has a small subtitle like - Gaao India . Can i keep the release name as Vande Maataram alone. Only artwork will have the subtitle.

It won't work, you'll have to name it exactly the same in artwork and release the title. Else you'll get a rejection with the request to change either the title or the artwork.

You can claim OAC and make your channel an artist channel, you can check out videos about it on my channel. Also, unfortunately TuneCore has paused this service as of now, but you can do the same thing using any other Distributor. Also, you don't need to make accounts on the streaming platforms, TuneCore, or any distributor you choose will do that for you.

Just a single Question- I have a OFFICIAL ARTIST CHANNEL and i use distrokid for now so it offers me release on my official artist channel also will tune core provide me the same? And i have songs on almost 30 + stores so will it make a new page for me or will merge my profiles with them?

Yes TuneCore provides that option, you'll just have to connect your channel to TuneCore. Also, while releasing if you select your already made artist profile then your song will be uploaded to your profile, they won't make new until you select the option to do so.

Which service would you recommend: RouteNote or TuneCore? I've uploaded a release on 12th or so and still no moderation status update. If you think TuneCore is better, please let me know and I'll switch to that. Also, is it feasible if I queue the same release on both stores, and then remove it from the other if one of them uploads it first? Additionally, if I get an OAC created via Tunecore, can I switch to another distributor and then get all releases uploaded to the same Topic channel? Would appreciate your response asap, thanks a lot man!

TuneCore is obviously better, you can take down your release from RouteNote hence it's still in moderation, contact their customer care to do so. Yes even after taking OAC from TuneCore, you can switch to any distributor of your choice in future.

1. No, different accounts can be used for giving and receiving payments, they're not connected. 2. This depends on different distributors, some use paypal, some use Payoneer. If you use Payoneer, you'll have to add a local bank account in payoneer to receive the royalties. 3. You can pay from any debit / credit card. You can change it whenever you want.

Yes, dono cheezein hongi. Topic channel ban jayega aapke naam pe ek automatically jispe cover art k upar aapka song lag k release hoga. And aap kisi bhi distributor se release karte hue agar RU-vid content ID select karte ho to jab bhi aap official music video ya koi bhi video jisme vo gaana use hora hai, usko upload karoge to uspe copyright claim aayega aap hi ki taraf se. Bro, I was tryna release an album. Everything's done and I did get a message saying your album is submitted. But when I tap on releases, it shows processing. Is that how it works? And despite filling each and everything, the Details checklist isn't tick marked.

If it's processing, then it is under review with TuneCore staff. It'll be approved / rejected (hopefully approved) in the next 2-3 days, till then please wait. You'll get an email on whatever is the case. You can check on it after 2-3 days

Nahi kar sakte, kyuki aapke paas copyright nahi hai un songs ka. Isliye aapko legal permission / license chahiye un songs ko release karne k liye. Aur agar release ho bhi Gaye, to unse jo income aati hai vo aapke account mein transfer nahi hogi

Hi, is situation mein sirf wait karni chahiye aur kuch nahi kar sakte. 1 week aur wait kar k dekhiye kyuki kabhi kabhi instagram kaafi time lagata hai songs release karne mein. Agar fir bhi nahi aaya to TuneCore pe request submit kar dijiye. But tab bhi wait hi karna hoga, aur koi option nahi rehta

You can make a video (it can be as basic as a photograph on a background) and upload it normally like you would any other video, and release it. Nothing special is required.

Thank you so much🙏🏼🥂 Yes, jab bhi aap kisi distributor k through song release karoge to aapke channel pe bhi copyright ka claim aayega, but chinta ki koi baat nahi, us claim k through TuneCore aapko paise hi kama k dega, nothing else. Aur agar apna claim hatvana ho to TuneCore customer care ko contact karo and bolo ki aapko apna channel whitelist / Allowlist karvana hai, to aapke channel se saare claims hatt jayenge.

Agar aap studio se song produce karvate ho to rights aap hi k paas rahenge, bus aapko credits proper dene hai har jagah uske, ki music compose kisne kiya, lyrics jisne likhe, singer kaun hai etc etc Copyright ki vide jaldi aane vali hai bus, stay tuned. Copyright related sab doubts vaha clear ho jayenge aapke

If your song is approved and sent, then it'll be released on the release date you had set. If the release date has passed you'll have to check manually on the streaming platforms. Your song will be there

That copyright claim is on your behalf only, you'll get money from that video through TuneCore. But if your channel is monetized, you can whitelist / allowlist your channel on TuneCore and remove the copyright claim.
