This video is obsolete, Amazon has blocked the app from working. When you click Open, you get the message "App disabled...You can keep the app on your device but you will be unable to use it" Consider deleting or re-naming this video to not waste the time of people who are looking for a current working method.
I use an app the then usb smb to get it to my phone. Or last time i used another app that let me use a qr code then i could upload from my phone after it opened a server.
I just went through and added everything following your video. But it did not work. The original buttons stayed the same. I also removed the apps for Netflix, Direct TV, and Peacock, and they still did not stop working. I tried double tapping the buttons still did not work. The reason I was trying to make this work is, my mother-in-law moved in with us and she can't remember more than a couple buttons to find anything. Please help. John C.
Okay, so when i click on the "fire tv launch manager" link on your website..& it brings me to another page on your website about how amazon has blocked apps & it says to watch "video below & follow instructions" but theres no video below! It just says "You must enter these lines in the command section to get it to work" with a bunch of blablahblah and then the grey download button.. So if theres no video to watch to get instructions on jow to make this work what do i do? Please help!
Same. They still SAY the app I chose, but they only go to the pre-assigned ones. No matter how many times I press it, how long I press it, or how quickly back-to-back I press it. Bummer.
@@pampurrs88 - It’s disappointing that it didn’t work for us, but he had a solution that worked for him and he shared it. We don’t need to be rude, right? Just letting him know it didn’t work for us - and what happened instead - will hopefully help him to find alternate methods more relevant to those for whom this fix didn’t work.
i tried this and it opend the one launcher app amd then the laucjer options wouldnt hight and it kept saying to turn the debuger on and off it doesnt work maybe it worked with the first gen fire stick but after that didnt work for anything cause i ised to be the person that found a way around to get free movie downloads with the dowlader and amazon did put a blocker in that stuff so i dont see why they wouldnt with this guys video but still it didnt work cause also maybe you half to isntall his vpn thing to cause thats how he makes money and his app maybe be down and it migbt only work with certain gens of thjng i think he shoukd take that into account betore posting a video that is useless to anyone to me he is a fraud
Not working for me. Can’t install the launcher app. It lets me install it, but when I try to open it just takes me back to your website with the popup to install again. The app is not in my list of apps either.
I've connected fire stick remote to my Nvidia shield pro but the shortcut buttons aren't recognized by and remap app anybody no a adb code or something
To use this does it have to open up launcher manager every time I press the home button? I don’t care for that. But I do like having my button reprogrammed to what I want it to be.
This absolutely screwed my Insignia FireTV. It didn't work, then the screen went black. I had to find a way to hard reset it and now my remote won't reconnect. DO NOT DO THIS. Any fix?
Yeah unfortunately it didn’t work for me either, the programmers at Amazon must’ve changed something⁉️ They certainly don’t want anyone messing with their software/hardware❗️
This works but doing this wipes out the custom launcher I setup with launcher manager. Any workaround to have customer launcher AND the remap the 4 buttons? Thanks!
what is the double press shit? i want to remap the button not have the button do exactly what i don't want it to do before it gets around to doing what I want it to do. waste of time.
I went through all the steps with no issue, but after I select the new app I want the button to open, it still opens the originally assigned app. I've tried clicking it multiple times, waited for the app to open and clicked it again, but still just the original app. Also made sure the app I was trying to replace was Uninstalled before assigning new app to button. Help.
Got as far as downloading Launcher manager from your page but its not the same as the one on yourvideo. Maybe its updated but cant find Launcher options.
I bought the new fire tv stick 4K and followed all the steps. The button I enabled and set to launch another app still launches the original app which is peacock

So much crap on his downloader page when I opened it, I couldn’t find the download I needed. Mostly click bate buttons to everything but what you want.

I notice you posted this video a month ago. I have the Second Generation 4k Max, which was just released a few days ago and your method does not work. I wonder if they changed something in this new generation to prevent us from remapping the keys? I’ve already given away/thrown away all my older Fire sticks, so I have no way of testing on an older one.
