I have followed all the steps twice over and I do not get the USB symbol anywhere, yet the files are going somewhere because I gained about 2 gigs of storage on my firestick. I bought a 512 gig SanDisk to take care of the low storage, I have tried almost all the apps out there yet I get the same issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Any realistic fix for the issue of not being able to update the apps on external storage? I have almost all of my apps on external, and they all work. But it will not allow me to update as it says i don’t have enough storage and in fact I certainly do.

Pretty sure I follow the directions explicitly but for some reason when I installed it it didn't pop up saying it was installed and when I went to look at it it didn't have that little thumb drive icon next to it

Since you can't uninstall any of the Amazon default apps installed on the Firestick, I'm assuming that also means you can't use this same method to move any of the default Amazon apps over to USB storage. Only apps NOT pre-installed on the Firestick.

A great video. I have been using X-plore to move the apps from the internal storage to my USB. It is somewhat simpler to use having a two pane window, one for internal storage and the other for the app storage. All can be done on these two panels including deleting of the original app on internal storage, installing app on USB and then deleting APK file afterwards. Only thing is it does not transfer sign in details if you use them on any app so you have to re-enter them once transferred to USB. Keep up the good work.

Firestick...all the way to the end of the vid, but it does not work for me. All my apps always default install to the internal storage.

Didn't work for me. Still can't uninstall Amazon apps from Firestick internal storage.

Just loaded up a new firestick 4k max today and this method doesn’t work. You can’t turn on ‘allow unknown apps’ like before. It’s still there but you have to click on each app to turn it on. I got as far as copying them but after that l am unable to install it from the miX app. I click on install but nothing happens. Followed your instructions no issues but can’t install them from MiX once uninstalled. Any advice plz ?

Why did the USB portion of storage disappear beside manage installed applications? As in the storage bars saying internal 3gb used of yada yada... The USBs storage bar below the internals isnt showing. Im just wondering why before i try this

This is very helpful as I have followed other videos to add the USB storage only to find out that very few apps could be moved over the the USB. Thanks for the knowledge!

Great video. It helped me out because I was just wondering how to do this yesterday because it's frustrating having all those apps taking up space for nothing. I didn't think there was anything I could do about it. So thanks.
