Remote video editing workflow! So hot topic, now. Let me show you how we use Google drive and Free file sync to move our files everywhere In the world via the internet. This workflow works, with premiere pro, Resolve, FCPX and basically any other software. It's really good for remote video editing teams.

Thanks for making this video! My question is would you use this same system if your project is in the terabyte sizes? Wouldn't the initial upload to get the files syncing take forever unless you have gigspeed internet?

So technically this can be used in an office with couple editors working on same project too? Without the need of google drive if there is LAN connection between them i guess. All they need is external hard drives with same structure and freefilesync. Am i right?

If the computers are connected somehow together freefilesync can sync directly as well. We only use one hard drive per person, no raids or anything. All back ups in the cloud.

And just remebered. On the other video in this series I go trough other sync services. There are peer to peer sync services that can do yous "local cloud" syncing automatically. Syncthing and Resilio sync could work, but then you migth run into ISP limitations. So it migth get quite slow. :\

Have you tried MagicBulletLooks plugin for color grading? Is it any better in what you can achieve with Premiere built-in color tools?

Premiere Pro has project sharing/locking, group collaboration features, etc. but I didn't see that used as part of your workflow. Is this because you cannot use Premiere for all projects?

The "add your name to the end of files names" basically replaces premier pro collaboration tools for us. :)

OU? Well it's a rode lav mic with rode wireless go, going into the camera. I don't think we do anything else than limiter on it after that. :D Good that you like it. I do have some acoustic elements in my room to remove some of the echo.

I would like to find a solution that works for me the editor and working remotely. Example I film a project and the files are about 2TB in size ( I can create proxies) Then be able to access those files from my laptop anywhere in the world. Good solution be able to download them to my remote location, a better solution being able to edit them without having to download to my remote location. I could upload the files to the G suite then download them at my remote location but that seem like a lot of time spent uploading and downloading. Any suggestions? TY!
