Doesn't seem to work for devices across the internet though. Seems to be designed for devices on the same LAN where the required IP ports are usually easily accessible. Strange that it does not mention this on one of the more obvious places within the Steam App, such as where you enable "Remote Play" in Steam itself. It should tell you that this will only work if ports x, y & z are not blocked on the PC firewall etc. which would indicate to an IT savvy person that it won't work over the internet unless these ports can also be accessed either through a VPN or by port forwarding . Don't setup port forwarding to listen to incoming traffic from the internet if you can avoid it, as this opens up attack vectors for malicious actors. Rather use a VPN whenever possible; and only if you absolutely HAVE to connect directly to your home devices from a remote location.
