As an Atlas owner, one thing to note is that if there are ANY stored codes or a CEL light is on, the remote start will not work until they are taken care of.
Remote start from key fob worked perfect since I bought the car a month ago. About a week ago set up Car-Net and could remote start from the app with no issues. 2 days ago I tried to remote start and it would not work from fob or app. No error lights on dash and plenty of fuel. Any tips? Edit to add: I can hear it clicking under the hood but will never turn over. I have no issue starting the car from the ignition switch inside though
Test the locking function with the fob. Push the lock button on the key fob twice. The lights should flash, and the horn should honk. No honk? Something is not shut completely. Check the doors and the rear hatch to make sure that they are completely shut.
One thing I don’t like about vw’s remote start is that you have you be very close to the car when that feature works and not from far away. And I’ve even changed the battery several times and nothing. Wish their distance was better range.
