Recently while replacing Spark Plugs on a Ford F-150, I had two of them brake off, leaving the threads down in the bore in the cylinder. Removing them is not an easy task. Thankfully this type of thing doesn't happen too often. We had to use several tools and some penetrating oil and a lot of patience, we succeeded at getting them removed.
