Yep, always have a angle grinder in your boot... But, a chain breaker does the job...

You don't need that giant motorized metal cutter. DeWalt makes a portable angle grinder you can hold easily in one hand

Hi Avadon, I used to cut locks 20 years ago with a mains powered grinder and I want to know if you think that the new generation of battery powered grinders are powerful enough to cut a clamp off?

@@billkent6037 well I have a DeWalt cordless angle grinder and I believe it would cut through that lock no problem. But if you want to make sure, bring an extra battery or two because the angle grinders really juice the regular batteries quickly. Or attached one of those High amperage, expensive high output batteries. But these types of angle grinders are great for cutting things were no power sources available. However if the boot is hardened steel it's going to cut through. I think by the size of it it's probably just mild Steel. Just my two cents -20 years welding fabrication experience
