Finally someone does it right and understands what it’s supposed to do. People blame the wrap for messing up their paint job but in reality it’s then not doing the research before doing anything
Thanks for this. I've been wanting to see this end process and the difficulties involved before I moved forward on my wrap. I plan to leave mine on much longer so I expect more tearing and small pieces but this is helpful. I would still love to see a removal of that first wrap you did that has been on for 6 years to see if it pays to switch out the wrap at warranty end instead of pushing the longevity.
Great presentation. You really know your stuff. The clear vinyl wrap on my BMW 550xi is 5 or 6 years old now. The vinyl on the hood is beginning to crack and split. Just looking for a good shop to have the wrap removed and then re-wrapped again. I hope that the paint under the cracks has not been discolored.
Big fan bro! Learned how to wrap my roof and few other things on my Q50s from watching your videos! Keep these videos coming bro!!! Will be wrapping my whole car soon!
Read a Vvivid removal instructions and it stated not to pull at 90 degrees, go 25-45. I guess that not a big deal cause I'm seeing straight pulls 🤷♂️. It did say heat gun makes much easier. I'm pulling mine off today/tomorrow
I’m trying to remove the vinyl wrap from my Celica, the wrap has been on for more than 2 years but when I try to remove it it keeps tearing up in little pieces and i barely get anything done, what am I doing wrong or what should I do ?
thanks for the video bro.. i just success remove mine old wrap side fender is hard lolz but i like this job about 3 hour remove without use heat blower only use little lighter Bbq😂 easy bro
Hey man I just removed the wrap from my car and the clear coat came out... I’m planning on painting it but i don’t got the money for that yet... i do have another wrap I was planning to do but will it stick to the paint without the clear coat?
I work for ast signs based in the uk at the moment we have a stripping contract with Eddie stobart to strip all the renewable energy trailers and the vinyl they used is shocking not even laminated so it rips to pieces on top of that the trailer it’s scratched all over creating holes in the vinyl as we pull it off where there is a scratch it rips then leaves the full letter of glue wish we didn’t take on the contract 😂😂
Just your opinion... If I were to vinyl wrap a set of drums, which is wood with a heavy top layering of clear lacquer, do you think I could remove it later without damaging the original finish?
Maybe it's my bad vision, but if my eyes aren't deceiving me, is that a Crusty the Clown badge on the front grille? And yes I have bad vision that cannot be corrected so don't be mean. I see his hair sticking out on both sides of what appears to be a face. Whaaaat?where do I get one of those?
Nice vid. What usually happens to a wrap that has been on and sitting for like- let's say 4 years? Is it gonna ruin the paint underneath after removal? Thx
Was thinking about this too, I wanna install vinyl wrap on my new car to protect the paint coat underneath, but I'm scared the paint coat underneath might chip out upon the removal of my vinyl sticker wrap.
mcq31mc it went about 30x better than I was anticipating. It really just pulled straight off with very little heat, paint was perfect underneath, I did clay bar the whole car before wrapping it. Took about an hour and a half. If your about to do it yourself, do yourself a favor and wear gloves, I had soo many blisters after pulling on the wrap.
Hey what's up bro I'm from Ottawa and i'm buying a wrap shop here . I'm back and fourth from Toronto and Ottawa all the time and I don't have much knowledge on this business, to me everything is fairly new (obviously you know a lot lol) so I was wondering if we could meet up and maybe I could get some lessons. Let me know.
Heating the plastic wrap allows it to move around easily or become malleable which allows the material to stretch and you can get your hands on more of the wrap to remove it. For example heated up sugar candy vs cold candy.
