Awesome video. Great camera work and explanation. I have a 3126 cat in our RV and I am trying to learn everything I can and this is a great help. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I hope you do a video about the new cat oil filter to protect the Heui pump. Did you have to replace any injectors after your Heui pump went out? Thanks again. Definately subscribing.
I also have a 2003 Dutch Star with the 3126. I think we have the round top style HEUI pump. I think the only difference for us is the fuel supply line goes directly into the head instead of the secondary filter. I think we only have one fuel filter. My HEUI mounting o-ring is leaking oil so I have to remove the whole pump. Feel free to message me if you want to compare notes engine/chassis notes.
Good vid. I have a 3126b which is gonna need O rings on injectors or reman injectors. Gonna do the HEUI if I replace the injectors. At 147,000 now. Sometimes I use oil and other times it doesn’t . Crazy

I have a series 60 12.7l detroit. I changed the fuel pump and I'm not sure if I put the in and out lines on correctly. Great video I just brought a box truck with a c7 huey problem
eulessnemesis My Pleasure!! the symptoms are crank no start, low power or long crank, check HEUI Pump output pressure while cranking it should be between 400 and 800 Psi..

@@rafalkuran yeah! I bet it's really hard to find parts for these USA Trucks over there, I don't know a good parts store there, can you order parts online?

Tom Daly I don't have the part number for that kit, I remember doing it on one of our school buses 2 years ego. and I got the kit on ebay The hose with the little filter that protects the HEUI Pump, if I find it I will let you know
i have the round huei in 3126e catone im am getting oil in my fuel tanks losing lots of oil no smoke no leaks on ground but its going into fuel tanks any help would be appreciated
@@Mikkeyboyy yes, oil in the fuel is a sign of some type of internal leak in the cylinder head, usually around injector seals and that would cause a hard start since it will take longer to build oil pressure in the pressure injection system... you should have a pro mechanic look at for you...
