Thank you! I couldn't find that release button to save my life as the repair manual depicts it as underneath not on the side. Found it straight away after watching your video. :)
If the switch is old , then replace it. It can start to heat up and melt your wiring harness . If it’s a newer switch , and it’s not heating up, pull the rod, spray with contact cleaner, and put some dielectric grease on the knob and stick it in nice and deep 😜
