It works this way in theory, but get ready to muscle the 260 pound deck front or back to be able to flip those levers underneath because the deck rarely perfectly lines up.
I can never get my mower off without a lot of prying and cursing. That little flipper lock thing at the rear has to be pried on HARD before it releases. Its not at all like your video. I assume something is out of adjustment, but I have no idea what. Mine was set up by the dealer and I have not fiddled with any adjustments. I have had this tractor 4 years now and I live a long way away from the dealer and I don't have a trailer. Can you help me out?
RU-vid Rule #1--Multiply every 2 minutes of video by 1 hour and that equals how long it will take you ! (i.e. a ten minute video actually takes 5 hours to accomplish) !
This is the OLD (pre 2020?) mower deck set up. The new one has the opposite attachment; the tractor grabs the bars on the deck, not the other way around.
Hi enjoyed the vid. I just had a new 1025r delivered. The salesman tried to show me how to remove the mower deck, but the front chrome attachment got snagged on the loader's kickstand. A mechanic will be coming out next week to look at it.
I have the same problem! Set up by the dealer, and the delivery guy wasn't excited to show me 'how easy it is' to drive off of the mower deck. Now I know why!!! I tried and got the mower wedged hard amongst everything. I finally got it out. I tend to think that the spraying on the front silver bar is too strong and leaves that you shaped bar up too high. I'm going to a try and adjust it shorter. Perhaps. Everybody makes it look easy, but 99% of those video show it without the end loader on the front. Perhaps due to poor John Deere engineering?
@@tsch7310 It's been two years, so my memory is a little vague. To fix it, they came out and replaced the chrome part in front. The actual issue was that the original chrome part was too weak, and broke, and sprung upward, and that's what caused it to get snagged on the loader's kickstand. The new chrome part was reinforced and has worked fine ever since.
That actually doesn't matter as long as the deck is all the way on the ground. It must have been locked out of habit after he lowered the deck. It was just that one front right corner. I hope that helps clarify a little.
Do you have to back over the deck to get off of it? When I try with mine (backing over) the deck scoots along with me. Everything looks to be disconnected.
Very strange.. I haven't seen that yet. I have seen it scoot while driving up onto it but not when backing off. did you make sure and flip that locking plate down located right above the deck?
Sloan Implement yep I everything was as it needed to be. I ended up reconnecting everything and going to a different spot of concrete that must’ve been more level because there everything worked perfectly. What they call the learning curve I guess.
I don't feel this video displays enough detail. After he lowers the deck you can see him turning something on the other side of the tractor but doesn't explain or show you this part. Also, he doesn't mention anything about lining up the wheels when driving over the deck. I am not impressed
Hey, thanks for the feedback. After he lowered the deck he locked the parking brake and then turned off the engine so you could hear him better. As far as lining up goes, we let the camera angles do the talking. Hope that helps! If you have any other questions one of our sales team members at a Sloan Implement location would gladly walk you through this a bit closer!
In your video, you say, "The independent rear three point." It doesn't look independent to me, even in your video, because the mower deck and the three point are controlled together.
Agreed. The only independent part of the deck and rear of tractor is the PTO. You can choose which PTO engages by way of the selector lever to the left of the seat. The lever that lowers the deck also lowers the rear hitch, so they aren’t independent of one another.
That reminded me of the time a girl left her account logged on with a pic of a male body part in her email and me and my friend sent it to all the teachers and students. I was pure evil then
