Omg right when I was about to take my nails off with a metro card 😩😭 Something told Me not to do it then I go on RU-vid and see you posted this... SIGNS lmaooo
Natali you have truly inspired me to learn to do my own nails. You're always giving tips to help save time & products and you actually care about the quality of your work. These nail salons need to take some notes from you hunny lol!
Same. I was just thinking this.i already box braid/twists/crochet, wash and straighten my own hair. I am even getting ready to get a professional wax kit, like the real shit to do myself. Nails bout to be next thing i do myself to save another 100. I save 200+ doing my own hair.
ELECTRIC BEING yessss I’m the same way I save money doing my own hair I’m natural so I braid box braid and crochet my hair. I’m really inspired to get the materials and start doing my own nails
Girl, I was just about to take mine off. I want to give myself a new set for Spring Break, and I just haaaaaate how long it takes to soak them off. Hours.
If you don’t mind me asking, how long did this process take start to finish before editing? I ask because I also do nails and I always get discouraged and feel like this process takes a very long time, but I’m never sure if it’s me or if this is just a long process.
😁😁👏👏👏THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. i asked for a pic of these nails u had on in the last vid since im not on IG and here u go with a whole vid for me to see them all. Thank u.
Good morning, so I recently tried to remove the acrylic from my nails and I believe I did a lot of things wrong. I did cut them down. And I filed some of the acrylic off using the drill. I then proceeded to soak my nails 10 minutes at a time then I would file them again with the drill. I believe I drilled to much because my nail beds had spots on them, my nails hurt so bad, the were so red and my free edge was so soft and bendable.
Sorry, I’m not very educated on this topic, but I think that you just soak the acrylic off. Only drill at the beginning and end, not in the middle. Again, I’m not really sure, but it definitely seems like you are filing too much. During the soaking process, the acrylic should soak off on its own. If you’re having issues with your acrylic soaking off, make sure you are using real, 100% acetone. Sorry for the late reply, I hope this helps. :)
i can tell you that you 100% over-filed your nails, i have done this too. nail plates have layers to them and if you file them too much with too abrasive of a file and/or or nail drill at too high an rpm you can file thru the layers leaving behind very paper thin, burned nails (which can be painful) and it leaves behind the really bendy overhangs (if they dont rip off early). the spots are essentially spots where you filed in one place more than the surrounding places on the nail and are extra extra compromised. this takes MONTHS to grow out/treat 6 months at the very least. use a good cuticle oil everyday, moisturize your hands often, stay away from acrylic/dip/gel as much as you can. you can use a hardener for up to 1-2 weeks to help with the thin brittleness but beyond that it is not recommended. also washing hands often in lukewarm soapy water, keeping clean, NOT cutting cuticles and just keeping at it will help them heal. I hope this helps
It's that you overfiled your nails. The red spots are the thinnest areas. The solution is to wait until they grow out and try to do better next time. Apple some kind of product on top to protect them from breaking or tearing
You know when the acrylic is slightly see through or completely, depends on the pigment of the acrylic.if it’s clear then the acrylic will be as thin as your natural nail and a little more
When you file your natural nail down with the drill , it doesn’t feel weird? I also do not like my natural nails long either. Is there a certain angle you cut the nails at?
Me too! But I think in my case, since I have to build the nail thicker otherwise it will break (poor quality products, never going to buy those again), then it takes longer for acetone to work or something
Question: I noticed that you said when drilling down the first hand you said 10,000 rpm and 15,000 for the second. Is there a particular reason for the difference???
hi! i was wondering if you don't have an e-drill to try to take off the acrylic can you use a nail file? additionally when soaking the nails can i use the nail polish remover 100% acetone? sorry, if it sounds stupid, im a beginner when trying to do nails!
There is a technique that I keep hearing about and it is when a person mixes monomer with a little bit of acetone together in then uses the acrylic powder they say it actually makes the nail smoother can you please do a demonstration video to see if it actually works please
So I got my nails done for the first time and after a month I decided to take them off, I took them off and I have little brown lines on my natural nail. Is that normal ? Can I get rid of it please help 🥺🥺
They're called blood splinters. Usually they're from trauma to the nails such as, hitting them, bending them, things like that. They go away on their own, nothing to worry about. 🙂
Depends on how long they are (longer nails are thicker), the product (acrylic is harder) and the bit you have (if it's softer it will take longer. You want a XC or C)
Girl I just soaked off last night and it took foreverrrrrrrrrr to soak :( the label says it’s not MMA so I’m not sure why it takes so long! I file down as low as possible too 😫
hey love! they lied they have mma in it but because the percentage of mma is low by law they are NOT required to claim it... if it looks gummy , then you already know its mma.
lexxy basulto it literally takes me sooooooo long even though i do all the correct steps. i don’t understand. also it’s probably not mma if it says it’s not. mine isn’t either. i use mia secret acrylic
