Hello thanks for your video I have a 1978 555 3 cylinder 201 cid and it looks exactly like your Ford so I have to do the injection pump but I am not exactly sure if it’s the pump or the injectors can you tell me what the symptoms of a bad pump is I kinda need some help here I know a little about diesels but I am very insecure and not very rich! So if you can help me out I would really appreciate it 🇨🇦😀
Send me a PM and I can send you some manuals to have a look through that go into diagnosis for these engines. Just as an idea though you could try a fuel additive to try clean through your lines. I've used some before and it makes a big difference before you go into taking the pump and injectors out and having to spend big money on refurbishment. You could also try cleaning the injectors with carb cleaner and seeing if that helps. Just pop them out and scrub them up. Just a few little ideas there hope that helps.
@@NorfolkFords I kind of pulled the pump out without noting anything other then we’re the gear was in relation to a bolt hole. The pump is keyed right ? So if the gear is in the right spot I will be able to get the pump back in the right spot ?
@@anthonyanna7595 that would work but you've got to be sure. Luckily if you install it out of time I won't do anything so it's risk free to do it again
