You are my hero. I still have my hairline, but it is getting very thin overall in a widow's peak, and when I watched one of your videos the other day, I felt a thrill that displaced the dread I've been feeling for years now, just looking forward to inevitably being bald. But seeing you be so casual about it and confident, best way to describe it, you strengthen me and I really appreciate you putting yourself out there. Your vibe is fire bro

This video is amazing! Ty for posting this! I reinstalled my hair system 2 times with just gluing the system, accidentally having it too far back or too far up and lifting it off, and back and forth and it was a nightmare! Getting my hairs stuck under it as well! Bleh! THIS is legit! Thanks again!

As I have seen: you love poly , I have had one in the past but find that you can see 2/2 mm of the poly e.g::: shine with the first few mm: do you think I have not cut the unit enough to the hair. If that makes sense.... Thank you sir. I'm from the 🇬🇧 Thanks for your time and support 🙏

Thanks for the video! I wish I had watched this before having to toss my UTS unit.. What about if you apply a system that has lace or mono? You can't apply the adhesive to the unit itself then, can you? Also, how long do you use the UTS system for before it starts losing too much hair? I've used the Ghost Bond XL and when I sweat while working out, it seems to make the glue too watery and it gets in the hair fibers, making them clump up and then fall out as I'm trying to fix it..

Hey man I enjoy your videos a lot , very educational. I have a question if you don't mind. After experimenting with my first system I think what would work best for me is a lace top with poly around it, the Lordhair Infinity seems great. How would you rank this among what you tried? Do you recommend it? Or do you have a preference for full poly now? I have seen your lace-front video and I agree, lace hairlines are too much work.
@michaeljosephghd

Hey there! Yes, I’ve tried that model and liked it a lot. For me, the lace is a little too itchy, so I now prefer a full poly unit, but that one is really good too. Just depends on what you like!

@michaeljosephghd 2 года назад
Hey thanks! I actually don’t do anything other than trim it. Ever notice the hairline is imperfectly v-looped where some areas are thinner/thicker and some hairs may not come to the edge of the base? I trim it so it’s imperfect but lines up with where the hairs have been placed. That’s it!

You can maybe get away with it if you ask your barber to shave the bio hair and fade it gradually moving up the grades. Right now in the vid it looks a little off. Hey Michael, love your videos, question for you, I’m considering starting to use hair systems for fear of side effects of hair loss drugs. But I roll Jiu jitsu about 3x a week… is Jiu jitsu and hair systems something that could go together if I was to replace the system every couple weeks like you do? Or is Jiu jitsu and hair systems something that just wouldn’t go together?
@michaeljosephghd
@michaeljosephghd 2 года назад
That’s a tough question. From what I (think) I know of BJJ is that you’re rolling around, getting super sweaty, and even using your head as part of the match. In my mind I’d think that may be a bit too much, but there’s only one real way to find out 😎 If you’re able to get one, try it out in a less intense match then work up, I’d recommend it. If it’s a fresh install you may be just fine, if it’s been on a couple weeks it’ll get slippery I’d imagine.

Do you think it would be possible to do a physical contact sport with a hair system e.g. boxing, wrestling? Or would that probably be too much for it to handle. I think thats my one thing holding me back personally, I don't mind maintenance or the cost but I don't want to give up the things I love.

Honestly I don’t know. With the helmet on and off after sweating would be tricky. Wrestling is a maybe too. Hi Mike. A quick couple of questions please: How comfortable is the system on your head? Does it get irritating after a while? Question 2: What material system would you recommend? a system made from real hair? or others? Thanks. Jon
@-The-Golden-God-
@-The-Golden-God- 8 месяцев назад
100% real hair is vital. They're comfortable unless you sweat a lot and your skin reacts to the adhesive. Then it gets itchy and sore. Swiss lace is best, but can be difficult to maintain. I find that poly units feel like having plastic on your head, don't allow your scalp to breathe and you can see the poly shining through the hair. You're basically forced to have a high hair density, which for most people will look very fake. So I would say go Swiss lace, or a swiss lace poly blend, with a lower density. Poly is also bad for any exposed hairlines - you can quite easily see this guys poly liner when he pulls his hair back. It's extremely obvious.

Well I see comments from years ago. So i wonder if you'll reply. Like the earlier text I sent you, I'd like to know what you think of the unit I'm getting put on literally tomorrow Aug 7 2023. Mine has a scalloped front. What do you think of that.

You still have to deal with touch ups thru the week. Running to the salon at 7:30 a.m. is not possible. So you need to be able to handle those situations yourself and have the products at home to handle them.

Thank you for sharing this. I've been contemplating this for a couple of years. I have curly hair and flat ironed it straight for years. My front and top have thinned and receded. My fear is if my hair system is straight, will I be able to flat iron my sides to match.

That’s a good point. While you CAN get systems with heavier curl, I’ve found that there’s always some way to make it work well!

@@michaeljosephghd thanks! Cutting my sides and back short and a straight system on top, now looking at yours, I probably won't need the flat iron. My real hair can be short. This is exciting!

Hey awesome! And yes, the first couple times I did make a mess, but now it’s so easy and smooth. I use Ultra Hold and I order it from Amazon.

Where should someone start? My husband has dreamed of one for years but is put off by the process. We are near Sacramento, CA... should we start calling barbershops asking about "hair systems"? Is that the way to phrase it?
