Will this same method work for French lace base?? I usually prefer tape on side and back, glue on front, for a week.

Yes it will, although I usually apply tape to a French Lace as it’s easier to remove from lace than glue 😀

What I do with glue is soak the system for about 30 minutes in water and then the glue just peels off. I then shampoo and condition the system and leave to air dry. The next day I reapply the system. I do it this way to give my skin a little bit of breathing time instead of just reapplying it right away.

That’s what I do. I put the system in a bowl with hair conditioner for 15-20 minutes. Then I rinse well and dry the hair and skin. After a few minutes the glue comes out easily by just rubbing it down.

I just cleaned and reapplied hair system myself for the first time tbh it wasn’t as hard as I expected it to be lol still a challenge but now I can see how doable it is, of course I’ll need to see a stylist occasionally for touch ups on the sides or cut ins on a replacement. Have you ever had one pre cut ? Would you recommend that or better to have a stylist do it

Great video! I was wondering if you have any advice or any tips of removing the glue from the hair itself I had a tiny seepage and its stuck on the hair. How would you remove it? I was thinking of spraying the area with the glue remover then brushing it out with a fine tooth comb? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Try putting the system in hot water (base side down) and leave for 20 mins. Once that is done this method will work a lot better. The hot water loosens the more stubborn glues very well.

Do the cotton balls also work for Tape? If not what is a good alternative? Also I'm more struggling with cleaning my scalp and my bio hair than I due with the system. I always have so much tape residue on my head and it is so hard to get it off completely, it takes forever. How do you do it?

So normally when I take my hair unit off it doesn't look like yours. It's already broken down plenty is already clumps of glue under the scalp and under the bass. If it's still not there I spray a little c22 on it let it sit for 10 minutes and then I do the mirror trick. The mirror trick is you just wipe your unit downward and all the oil and grease comes off of it on the mirror. Now I cover the mirror with Saran Wrap and you can still do the same thing. No rubbing no cotton balls none of that. Now once in awhile I have to do your method because just the way the glue cured does it always break down so easily

Nice video and suggestion w/the cotton balls and the towel, well done. Not trollng, but it appears to me that your front is a bit too thick and a different calibre to your bio hair and at least to another wig wearer not the best. You might want to ask another wig wearer their honest opinion.

Judith, actually skin systems with “V-Loop” hair does breath, there are tiny holes from the V-Loop injection. V-Loop is the best venting method. Why? No knots, so no knots to bleach. I switched from lace to skin and love it.
