How to remove and refit the G-Tech vacuum filters 

THANK YOU!!!! I now love my GTech again after months of hating it!

It seems like a lot of other people we had not fit the filters correctly. sorted now thanks for your help.

I have a problem with my hands thats the reason I bought one of these.I was devastated when I could not get the filters back and worried Id once again have to rely on others to clean with my 'other' vacuum.Thankyou SO MUCH for your video, I thought it was just me,and now my G tech is back up aand purring away beautifully xx

GTec have now got some new instructions which are available from them, they are clearer and have responded to customers difficulties in re fitting filters. Customer support was very helpful when I rang them. Jolly good.

Thank You - I would never had bought one if had known the filters were so fiddly to clean and refit, but as I am stuck with it at least I know how to get it working properly!!

Spent a full day trying to replace filters - then watched this vid - fitted in 30 secs! Gtech customer services were very unhelpful

Thanks for making the video. I have struggled so much with these filters I even cut them down to make them fit then clouds of dust went every where and had to buy new ones. I still couldn't make them fit so had to put elastic bands round them. Really poor design. Hoping I've cracked it now!

My other half says I am a tight Burk or something similar. Will a 2p work just as good as a 50p? :D Serious note though, if they are not carbon filters, have you ever tried dish washing them? on the top rack to prevent them melting on the dry cycle or you could take the out before the dry cycle if you remember. They should come out spanking new!

Thanks for this info. Really useful. The instructions from GTec are hopeless, written by some sad person who forgot to show HOW to refit the filters. The groove in the rubber rim on each filter needs to to pushed hard onto and over the upstanding plastic guide rim on the plastic tray. You show this clearly. They give NO Idea on how to refit. I bought the cleaner three weeks ago, could not refit the new or old filters. Searched and found your instruction. I rang GTec the girl there said a 'technical' person would ring back. Still waiting! She said push the pad hard 'cause it is fluffed up. No mention of the 'correct' method. That is : fitting the filter pad groove over the plastic rim on the tray. Why do they not have decent instructions in the booklet? Sad people , I guess the big boss has made his fortune and driven off in his rich boys motor into the sunset.

Just want to add my thanks for this wonderful explanation - you saved my sanity. One question: there is a small round rubber band that doesn't seem to belong anywhere and I assumed it must be a seal for the connection. But every time I turned the slot to upright it popped out again so I removed the rubber band and the connection held...finally! Any idea where the rubber band came from? I am keeping it in case it is a vital part of another bit of the machine... Thanks again - you are a star!

Thank you for making this, would never have managed to get those filters back in if it weren't for this video! The instructions are totally unhelpful on this point and don't convey just how awkward it is to get the filters back on. I still think it's a great vacuum cleaner but a real let down when it comes to the instructions!
