Hey bro great video, I have a question on my 2016 Freightliner cascadia my truck going up and down on its own when i stop , what could be a problem, but mine valve is not same as your in video ,
most likely is going to be the leveling valve, yes this truck doesn't have the option to lower the suspension and I'm assuming your truck has a switch in the cab to lower the suspension that's why it looks different it has an extra air line
the valve was not lifting the air bags to there hight level, but after doing this video i find out it was that the link was too short, i extended the link and it seems like that was the problem, i will make a video soon
Thank you, im not sure what the exact height should, check out this other video we did on other channel it might help you too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-igmMT5RqGx4.html
Technically you don’t “need “ to but given the weight it’s strongly recommended as you really can’t be too safe. You can be too safe 1 million times but it only takes 1 time of not being safe enough 😉
@@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY It only take one spring brake to hold that truck. If the brakes were not properly adjusted. You would not be worried about the suspension.
My leveling valve was replaced but seems to leak air from bottom part to let air out everytime I am parked is when I notice it. I dont know if I need to raise or lower or just leave it alone I do not feel any shaking or anything like that going down the road. Where can I find the right height to adjust to, if it needed?
If airbags are riding low, or the truck is getting vibrations you can just adjust the valve, if the valve is leaking air go ahead and replace it, thanks for watching sir 🙏
Thank you very much for the great info. I would ad something else. The right level of the valve will determine the high of the airbags and they will affect the alignment of the driveshaft. And when there is a bad alignment of the drive shaft you will have vibrations. It was my case, the mechanics were recommending a bunch of expensive things. After I watched so many videos I came across to this video ... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RTDayns43Lk.html and that saved my life. Free and you only invest no more than 20 minutes and the vibration will go away.
Hi quick question to averyone ,every time I drop off my trailer my air bags raised up then that leveling valve stick goes down and air starts leaking from it then about 3,4 min it just adjust itself then I’m able to roll otherwise the tires spin it don’t let me to roll since the level is not back to normal I did change the leveling valve still the same after every drop off trailer pls let me know if anyone had this type of problem thanks And may God bless you !
@@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY unfortunately i don’t have that switch on truck but never had this issue before I’m really confused about it something definitely wrong but thanks any way Brother!
