Why do you need an accessory connection? What does it do?

My screen in my audi q5 2010 is not working.. Ive trued putting the screen in another vehicle and it works but won't come work in mines. Cam u help?

@@UCw9_Eya6cIiw2jyRA5RtRjg --If you end up doing a Dash Cam Install on a 2012 newer Dodge Grand Caravan , could you show how you remove the A-Pillar plastic (that hides the airbag , near the windshield ) and how you go about running the hard wire kit from the dash cam to the fuse box OR from the dash cam to the OBD "hardwire kit" )
