*** That worked perfectly *** - I purchased a Toshiba Satellite off of ebay for $32 (including shipping, no Hard drive or power cord). I bought it just for the screen to fix another unit. The auction said "Toshiba Satellite A305-S6905 Laptop - SOLD AS IS" and "The laptop does not start successfully, so is being sold as-is for parts/repair.". I plugged in a power supply, it came up asking for a BIOS password. I followed this video and after around 15 attempts - it worked! Thank you. Be careful people to short the two metal round contacts where is says XXX - otherwise you could damage your motherboard.
After two days of screwing with this laptop trying to get rid of bios password I came accross this video and to my surprise this method actually worked hats off to the video creator your the man thanks
Thank you for sharing this video. I just about givien up . I had looked on the Toshiba website, all over the internet and RU-vid, nothing worked except yours. Thank you so much man ❤️
Update: That was the correct location. My error was not leaving one memory stick installed. Held the screwdriver on the B500 points while powering and waited for it to turn itself off. Removed screwdriver from B500 points and powered it back on. Success!!! Thanks for your assistance. Forever grateful.
Hey Tiggar, i just tried this with a Toshiba Satellite L655-S5147. Its similar just the jumpers on this one are labeled G1 and G2 instead of XXX, which are located under a clear plastic when you remove the ram sticks, followed your process and it worked on the second try, thank you very much for posting!
Thank you so much!!!! It worked!!!! I found an old computer in my attic and was trying to get into it because I had no idea what the pass word was years ago. I followed your video and it worked just like you said it would. :)Thanks so much!
YOUR NOT ONE AWESOME.. YOUR TWO AWESOME! Thank You for sharing, I hope you have more BIOS S.V.P. cracking tricks.. You are a natural teacher Please make more!
@ZenTalmara B500 is the correct place to reset the password. Just use a flat screw drive to match it. you gotta do it while you are turn on the laptop, some time you will have to do it more than twice in other for it to work.
thanks for your help Mr. Tiggar comp, I was having trouble with my laptop that freezed whenever bios logo shown up, I thougth about reset bios, but I don't know why, and google search doesnt provide much about reset bios laptop. well thank you very much. May Allah Repay your deed to me, and to all people that problem resolved by your video. once again thankyou so much
works on toshiba L300 PSLB8A-0D5004 I recommend using pin instead of screw driver (my experience) note: b500 pins are located in the middle underneath white label (no need to remove Mylar in my case)
Well that's great, but when and how did you put those memory cards back in the way they were?? BTW, I have a Satellite C655D with this exact Bios password malfunction. Talked to Toshiba and they won't take responsibility for it. The motherboard was replaced a few months ago by them. I suspect this might have some cause to the problem. I have an existing warranty, so opening the machine in any way should be an immediate void of future warranty. Now what?!?!
Oh man i had been struggling with many other, but just because you said "it might take acouple tries" i kept going until i got it, thank you so much for sharing with all of us, its great knowledge learned, and youre helping friends around the globe :) congratulations for your great attitude! now a mexican laptop is up and running once again!!
по пробивал снял батарейку две сутки держал что только не делал ничего не помогло а вот этот ролик 100% помог аж вскрикнул от радости спасибо большое :::Man you are cool thank you very much !!

I have an a505-s6033. the layout is different but it has two soldering points labeled b500. No matter how many times I try it will not work. I do see other jumper solder pairs. Could it be they moved the reset to one of the others? I'm not brave enough to attempt to short any of them without more knowledge. Can you help?
Hello, I have the L505-141 and i cannot change boot priority cause cannot get into bios. Is there any chance that this procedure will make cd or usb higher in priority than HDD?

Hi, Can you help me remove Bios Password for my Toshiba Satelite Pro R50-B Laptop. I have the Bios password but it could`nt Log in after entering right password. Please I have trid all ways and could`nt.
located the b500xxx chip ,arced across using cat 5 wire ,then tried a screwdriver, tried every combination of parts on board /off board, still got a password, any ideas ..
It should world work , sometime the screw drive is not working that well. you will need to put the screw drive or whater you use on the jumper while you turn on the laptop. sometime you will to do it over and over before it work.
Bios password is more easy to remove, but you said its a hard drive password I'm not sure if i can remove the password on less I have the laptop in my hand. sorry my friend.
Look for B500 remove both memory stick after you remove both memory stick if you see any sticker on the motherboard take them off and you should be able to see it
this didn't work. I've tried it 15 times. and now im frustrated i have the exact same computer you are using in your video and it doesn't do ANYTHING. Im tryin to get the bios password off because Im selling it an don't want to sell it with this on there i also don't wanna pay someone to do it for me when i should be able to do it myself! ugh :(
Just remove power cable, battery pack and Bios battery (usually near wifi card accessible through another compartment) and wait one or two minutes reconnect all and the password is gone.
