The Linear Key Coloring effect is the only solution thats still relevant, and that solution IS a good one though!!!

I need to do this in Vegas Pro 17.0, with the video in question pan/cropped smaller to go over just one part of the video underneath. The effect is yellow and I need it to be blue, but I can't seem to be able to change the color with the chroma key in place, (which I know makes sense but that's why I came here). Nothing seems to be working to make it transparent, blue AND smaller. It's a big spark explosion that needs to be over one part of the video only, have the black background gone, and changed from yellow sparks to blue. in VEGAS, as I have already spent way more time and money on this one stupid thing than I want to admit to, and do NOT want to buy another $200 program I don't even know how to use. HELP?!

Thank you for this! I’ve tried a few freebies out in Vegas Pro using the "add" and “screen” compositing modes to remove the black backgrounds, however, I keep getting semi-transparent VFX over the video track below. What if it isn't stock footage & I want to take the black background from a solid? I made a saber effect and using the transparent button or the blend option doesn't remove the black BG. I'm trying to use the effect in Sony Vegas Pro.

Hi. Maybe you can find solution in this video of mine. First, duplicate your composition and make it white on black. You should have your Saber effect white isolated on black. That B/W composition use as Stencil Luma mate for your original colored composition. That way you'll have Saber effect on transparent BG with colors affected by blending mode you wanted at the original composition. Don't work for Hitfilm Pro. I have blood mist effect jpeg and then i set blend mode to multiply, white screen is going, but logog action vfx and llines staying. how to fix?

You have to actually download the footage from our site. It's free, but you still have to add it to your cart and checkout. Afterwards, you'll be taken to your "My Downloads" page where you'll be able to download it.

No, green screen keying uses a chroma key whereas a black or white backdrop is using luma keying.

Hello! What VFX elements are you using? The tutorial covers blending modes, an unmult effect, and the linear color key. FCPX has a luma key effect that would work as well.

Hey demult from Ignite Pro isn't free. It puts some lego bricks behind my video and it won't remove them, even though the demult did work, it's useless with the lego bricks behind it.

I think it’s the affect it’s smoke and it has a bunch of black I use KineMaster the effect is just from a fuild simulation app that I recorded and has black background if I use chrome hope this helps you all this informations helps you

@@S4mnny We recommend software such as After Effects, HitFilm Express (Free), etc to get the most out of any VFX product. For KineMaster, go to the settings and try different blending modes.

Have you adjusted the opacity slider? If it's 100% already, I suggest using the Curves effect, selecting the Alpha curve, and dragging the middle of the line up towards the top left corner of the box.
