Cleaning Intake Carbon Build Up by pouring Fuel Injector Cleaner into the Throttle body of an engine is not always posible, if the throttle body is not in an accesible place. How To Remove Direct Injection Carbon?
In this video, i show how to use Chevron Techron Fuel Injector Cleaner to remove carbon buildup from an intake by using its Vacuum Lines or Ports to suck it into the intake manifold and intake valves. This method works on any gasoline engine, from Carburetors, Multi Port Fuel Injection MPFI and GDI.
As i have exposed in previous videos, any good Fuel Injector Cleaner will dissolve carbon build up in intake valves, runners and manifolds if sprayed directly into them

This car has port injection: putting the cleaner in the tank will clean the injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers slowly. Instead, he's overloading the engine with the cleaner; that's why the car is smoking. The unburned cleaner may damage the catalytic converter. And if the vacuum sucks up the cleaner too fast, the engine will hydrolock and be totaled.

yeah. If it is port injection, then they should just put the cleaner in the gas tank. All set. This process on the video would be for GDI. But it is not GDI engine. 😅

The easiest one would be the brake booster line, but there are others

So, injection cleaner has same effective effect to clean intake manifold and valve as catalytic cleaner and be able to shoot throttle vacuum line? I only know specified product each to clean as their described name. Catalytic cleaner to clean catalytic converter, intake manifold and valve, and combustion chamber by shooting through vacuum line, while injection cleaner to cleaner injector and valve by pouring into fuel tank.

That's the marketing trap. Detergents are the things that do the work, I don't know about cat cleaners, but a good fuel injector cleaner works. Seafoam is injector cleaner, they just market it as a pour-into-engine product. Any injector cleaner will work, what you look for is for the one with the most detergents ln it

I tried this with techron but I bogged the engine on purpose and let it stall thinking maybe that would be a good way to hotsoak it? Could this damage the engine? I barely poured any at all, just enough to stall it.

Nah you should be fine, just be mindful to change your oil afterwards if it gets too dorty

@@BadAssEngineering A few reviews on Amazon for CRC show the users hydrolocked their engines after following the CRC instructions. If the intake manifold has a geometry that tend to puddle the cleaning fluid into a low spot or if the intake has variable-length runners, the risk of hydrolocking increases. Both BG Platinum and ATS 3C include instructions to rev the engine 2-3 times every 30-45 seconds to clear any puddling. ATS has service bulletins warning which cars cannot be cleaned using their machine due to hydrolocking risks.

That’s not true even if it’s a carbureted engine, he would pour it down the throat of the carburetor. I don’t know how familiar you are with carbureted engines. Sounds like you’re kind of a hater on them but really the only difference in procedure between the two is on a fuel injected motor, you have to worry about setting codes off or clogging the catalytic converter/02 sensors etc. whereas with a carbureted engine you can pour it directly into the carburetor as said or utilize the brake booster vacuum line just because it’s carbureted doesn’t mean that you can do the same procedure if anything it’s easier

This is not how you do an injector cleaning. Completely wrong. Also if I find out where you are tearing up the street or parking lot with your tire spinning I will report your foreign ass to authorities where I did this with another individual and they had to pay for the damage to the area from the tires. It cost them a substantial amount.
