Hiya, I have a three prong light fixture and I tried to pull each one to see which was was the spring but none of them budged. What kind of lubricant can I use without endangering myself or setting myself up for a flammable situation? I have WD40 and a small bottle of mineral oil. What should I do to sort this out?
Just brilliant, thanks. I have glass covered light on a wall and have been wondering how to get the cover off, I’ll give your idea a try, it might work on that as well. Thanks Bill, love all the help you give 😃
Ohmygod. One is spring loaded?!!! Sheesh, I’ve just stopped using the overhead light and just use the sconce…..for years… but now I’m fixin to paint the bathroom, so, thank you so much. NOW I CAN CHANGE THE BULB AND CLEAN THE GLASS!!!! 😬🙏🏽
my saviour! i've been trying to lever those clips up this whole time, wasn't looking forward to a winter without a working light over the sink. Legend!
Hey guys my ceiling lights have absolutely no springs or bolts or nuts or ANYTHING AT ALL.... Does anyone know of a secret to remove the covers to the lights?
Talk about timing I've! I've lived in a rental for 7 years and we've never been able to get it off. It turns but nothing happens. It's different to these two you showed though. Now we are moving in a month
I've got a three clip fixture and the clip that moves should pull out far enough to release the fixture, but it doesn't pull back far enough. I'm one inch away from smashing it with a hammer.
Thanks, very helpful advice. What brand/mode is the first example? I have this one and broke the cover, so I would like to replace it, or the whole unit. Thanks
