How to Remove Coffee Stains From Carpets 

Commercial carpet cleaners and shampooers did little to remove a coffee stain on our light grey carpet. This technique worked wonders. It's the real deal.

This method is absolutely the best way to remove stains from one’s carpet. I had a two week old dark coffee stain on a yellow carpet that I attempted to remove with a commercial stain remover for rugs and rug cleaning machine. To no avail. Brilliant!! I removed a large, fresh stain from a large cup of strong coffee from my white wool carpet. This was so successful, I tackled a much older coffee stain that had been hidden by a rug as we didn't know how to remove it. That older stain came out even more easily -- presumably as there was less coffee in the stain. Just brilliant!

I used this very method to clean a 4 yr old cherry drink stain in my carpet today. It works I have tried everything else and nothing worked, from elbow grease, to baking soda, to vinegar, to alcohol nothing would get it up,, but this method got the job done, thankfully.

This really works, but it took lots more efforts to remove my old coffee stain from a shag rug. I hate the shag and cover it with orientals, but the coffee stain still showed at the edge of the orientals- until I zapped it. Thank you!

This worked incredibly well! We used OxyClean instead of Hydogen peroxide.

I spilled a whole cup of coffee on my white carpet! I tried a commercial "guaranteed" carpet stain remover - it seemed to make it worse. Tried dishwasher detergent - didn't work either. Found this video - and thankfully it worked like a charm! Easy, fast and effective.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I tried everything to get the coffee stain out, with no success. This technique really works. I was worried it would take the color out of the carpet, but it didn't. I did a colorfast test just to make sure.

So it worked and I'm so happy because I've been fighting with this stain for the last 5 hours. I was a little worried about putting hydrogen peroxide on the carpet but it's seems to be fine as long as it is synthetic

It works :) Very old coffee stain became much lighter. The old stain from RED drink spill became almost invisible. Other stuff I tried didn't do any difference. Thank you!

I did as told. It removed the coffee stain. But I think I damped too much with water on one of the stains and now I have a bigger visible water stain. What do I do? Does this technique fix the water stain problem?

That was my third attempt to remove the 16 oz extra dark coffee stain in my family room. It's a might be a little lighter (we'll see when it dries) but I have a feeling the stain will soon have a dry towel covering it permanently. Sort of like 'when a tree falls in the woods and you don't hear it did it happen'? If I can no longer see the stain is it really there?

Do you spray with warm or cold water?

while watching this video I just put a whole water bottle on the stain and scrubbed it with a rag and it took of : ) MIRACLES EXIST

I spilt coffee all over my brother. I covered his face with a rag and applied a hot iron to it. Nearly all the coffee came out within 20 min. Just make sure the steam is set to high.

im scared the coffee went under the carpet and mould will grow

It is toxic to heat the hydrogen peroxide and inhale the steam.
