To anyone who wants to paint this without damaging their car this is what you need to do and it's a longer process but it's less expensive in the long run. Remove the instrument cluster, the radio cover, the A/C controls and the vent covers. Mask the entire car front area where you don't want paint to get on it. Use Dupli-color Fabric/Vinyl Spray which is flexible and won't peel and you will be able to cleanly spray the vinyl without damaging it's placement. Use very light coats because in such a tight corner it can cause runs and uneven painting. The tutorial for this on Club4G is kinda eh and he uses double sided tape, velcro and it will not sit well ever again till you have it professionally mounted again.
One let me tell u now.. It was a bad idea... The dash never came back in .. And plasti dipping it was bad cause it would peel.. Best idea.. Don't touch it guys haha learned the hard way..
Why not make a video with the process I used for mine. It's essentially what I did to black out the entire interior of my eclipse to create a more elegant look by removing the dull grey plastic they used to make our car's interior. Honestly all I want to find for my car is leather covers that look good.
Quick question Brandon, how'd you get the interior side panel white? Did you get a whole new cover or did you paint it? Cheers on the advice on here btw 👍
Can you make a video showing how to remove the whole dash? I need to replace my ac expansion valve. I know It's in the firewall and I have read that the proper way to get to it is to remove the dash
Hello, the cover of passenger airbag is causing a noise while driving for bad roads. My question is, can I remove the cover to see if I can add some tape or something and avoid those vibrations? Is it possible to remove the cover without risk and how can I do it?
Hey Brandon I have the same car and the top of the dash in some parts has come loose. It is not broken but any tips on getting it back to place. What did you use?
I have something shaking on the center dash and it's so annoying every time I go for a drive or listen to music it shakes in there. Is there any other way to get rid of it other than prying open the center and looking for it? It sounds like a broken plastic piece somewhere.
Whole reason I'm watching this video. Sounds like styrofoam rubbing against eachother. Mine does it after about an hr drive, then hitting bad road areas it starts to make the noise. 😠
I clicked on this video to figure out how to get that foamy - piece back in the place not had a unpriced where the hell can I get it and where can I find a fucking replacement for it if I can't fix it
