This video randomly popped up on my home page I have a 2007 Spyder that came with a zip tied door handled I wasn't even sure it was repairable until I watched this. Now not only is it repairable but its repairable in style. Thanks you'll be getting a new customer next week :)
Just an FYI, having wasted my time: if you broke your doorhandle you do not have to take your doorpanel off to install aftermarket door-pulls. Just unscrew the two bolts where the broken pieces of the OEM door-pulls are and it should come right off, allowing you to install the new ones. Even if you didn't break your door handle, you *could* intentionally break the handle so you don't have to take the entire door off. Hope this helps!
"Up and out?" Not on my 2012. I think I would have appreciated knowing the location of the trim panel retainers so I could at minimum have a shot at prying them out intact instead of breaking all but one by pulling "up and out."
They look great! I just installed them today on my 2011 GS Sport. Though on the driver side when I pulled off my panel for some reason the black door pull assembly that the gray handle connects too fall down on the ground. >,< Now my door won't lock but it opens and shuts from the inside so. I'll need to investigate that tomorrow it got hot ever here in Texas.
@@yubinfourever the original door pull is two parts plastic per side so take something to wedge in between the plastic like a flat head screwdriver try using a thin one if you have it after a little bit of playing it should break off doesn’t matter if it comes off messy since you’ll be putting the new ones on from there you’ll see the bolts, two on each pull take them off clean up the application area and apply did mine in 5-10 minutes since the new ones come with new bolts as well.
