Hmmm. Interesting question! You can remove the whole of the internal plastic handle section from the door card, so you could use those from your old door cards (EU) and put them on to the UK doorcards so that the switches are around the right way (i.e. main window and mirror switches change from right side to left side). But you also have extra controls inside the driver doorcard for towing mode (stop alarm going off if being towed/moved) etc. So that will be harder because you won't be able to swap the sides easily. These are located in the drivers card, in the lower part where you put items to store, towards the rear in that section. So might not be easy, but I would expect it is possible. That's off the top of my head though without going too deep into it. There may be others complications I have not considered yet. Best of luck with it! Hey there You just unscrew it. It does not matter too much if it does not come out of the hole when undoing (as long as it's fully unfone) as it will just fall to the floor when you remove the door card. Using a magnetic screwdriver helps a LOT! Especially when reinstalling the screw. Shine a torch up in the hole if you are having issues locating the screw head. Follow the video carefully - you'll get it :-)

To clarify for people who are unsure, there are actually two speaker grilles on a door card. The one at the bottom is where the main speaker is located. There is a second small one at the top in the corner, behind which is the tweeter. It's a good question. Going from memory (so I may be wrong) yes they are almost definitely removable as I popped one out by mistake a while ago. However, pretty sure they have to be popped up (locking tabs) from the inside. I don't think (from memory!) they can be removed externally (i.e. without removing the door card).

Hey there. If the gas release is also on the drivers door along with windows and boot release then most likely they are all on one switch (I'm not sure without checking, and I don't do too much with Passat's TBH). I'd personally try replacing that switch first if it is all one unit. If that does not solve it, then move on to next in the chain, which would be the door card loom, then to what that loom attaches to (likely window motor). You should find it quite quickly. Hey there. Hard to say as I'm using a little guesswork as I don't do too much work on Passat's. But assuming it is all on one switch (?) then it's strange that one would stop working before the other. Depending upon how they are mounted (again I don't recall 100% for the Passat offhand) the switch can either be removed by removing the doorcard, or maybe if you're lucky without removing it. You'd need to check... You can buy a switch on eBay for sure. Used ones should be sensible money. Best of luck!

Ah OK. This is the passenger door. I had to pop out the power-window panel and there were screws under there. This was also the convertible (2007 - B7). The power window panel is a bit tricky too.
