How to remove door trim (front) on VW Sharan 7N (Second generation) 

This video helped me out with getting the door card off. I opened the driver's window and when I tried to put it back up again there was just an awful grinding noise. The window regulator is broken, so I'm using this video and your other video on the regulator to swap it out for a new one. Thanks.

I found that the clips should be stretched with the tool before pulling them out, to get the locking pin to disengage.

Thanks, that's really going to help me out. We opened our doors and got into our car yesterday and there was a very strong smell of electrical burning before even switching on the ignition. We've also noticed that the interior lights don't always come on when we open the front doors, which started about a week ago. I think there's a fault inside the door and this will help me make a start on getting to where the fault might be so I can take a look. I believe the switch for the interior lights is part of the door lock on these cars, not a separate switch, is that correct? Thanks again.
