How to Remove Engraving Fast & Easy!

Anie uses the Jooltool to remove the engraving off this gold ring. This was done Live from the Inhorgenta jewelry show in Munich Germany, the customer in the video asked to remove it.
What was used in this video:
1. 120 grit Cubitron
2. Medium 20 micron Trizact jooltool.com/p...
3. Fine 10 micron Trizact jooltool.com/p...
4. Very Fine 5 Micron jooltool.com/p...
4. Use Felt with Jooltool compound for High polish jooltool.com/p...
5. For Satin Finish, used the 20 Micron Trizact. jooltool.com/p...

The JOOLTOOL can burnish beautifully with our See-Thru 3M Scratch-Eraser Discs but for this demo, the gentleman requested for it to be ground down flat.

How would you do it on a money clip if the initials were recessed? Deeper than the rest of the clip, in a box. Hold it at an angle?

Just removed an engraving from the back of an old Rolex on my bench grinder and buffed it with the other side wire brush wheel. took 25 seconds

The video is what the video is. I just took the engraving off of a Parker pen barrel by sticking it in a vice and then going at it with P60, P120, P240, then P600 sandpaper. The original finish was brushed stainless steel and now it has an even finer brushed finish than it had before. For bigger jobs you could use a small rotary tool, like a Dremel and for a polished finish you could use a buffing pad and a mildly abrasive polishing compound. For some smaller jobs or softer you can even achieve a polished finish by hand, using an old rag and Autosol metal polish or Brasso. I've even heard of people polishing vulcanised hard rubber and plastic surfaces with toothpaste.
