How to Get Magnets out of a Microwave Oven. Taking apart microwaves can be dangerous. On this video I will show you how to take apart a microwave oven safely.
Thank you very much for your comments! 😊👍👍 Capacitors are very sneaky... Many people have the wrong impression that once you unplug the device you are safe. This is not always the case...
Just recently found out that any non heavy duty commercial grade equipment will be using aluminum oxide as a coating instead of beryllium oxide. That changed a while back, so unless its a fairly old microwave you won't need to worry about berylliosis
Just came across your YT Channel, Excellent video on how to dismantle a microwave (I have one that I want to do the same too) so now I’ve just subscribed 😄
@@RustisGold torx with the stud in the middle 6 sided I used a triangle file to file some of the stud out a hack saw to do a little more and then a flat head to unscrew.
If one leaves the door & latch on, the shell makes a good bread box, as long as the hole left by the magnetron's removal is capped with something non-chewable. (LOL What can I say... I live "out-in-the-boonies," where rodents are just a fact of life... Also, I have large dogs, who would consider a cat a tasty snack...)
I honestly can’t see the manufacturer’s using berillium oxide for the ceramic insulators. It’s crazy expensive and fatally toxic. The Color of the coating seems to be some sort of aluminum oxide and possibly chromium. Chromium has a pinkish or purple Color.
@@RustisGold for sure. Especially if it came from China lol. It’s definitely not something too mess around with. I always hazmat up when dealing with magnetrons lol.
The magnetron it’s self can also hold some charge for a period of time. If a person is not comfortable with high voltage electronics it’s probably better they leave it alone lol. Amazing amount of power for such a commonly used appliance.
I was just joking! 😊👍 You should make a RU-vid video! "... How to remove microwave oven magnets in less than 30 seconds!!..." It would be really cool! 😊👍
I was expecting to see some badass magnets like from computer hard drives. Those just seemed to be cheap magnets you get from ordinary speakers. 😐 Just my personal opinion, but not worth the effort of getting cheapy magnets like that. Interesting video though.
Thank you very much for your comments. I was also curious to see how strong these magnets were. I don't know why you got the impression from the video that they're just cheap magnets but believe me, they are quite strong! 😊👍
