This week i am swapping the chrome door handles for black ones on my 2019 Mini Cooper JCW!!

The bolt that holds the retaining plate in place will not fall into the bottom of the door as it is a fixed captive bolt!!

It acts like it's captive but it is not. It will unscrew all the way out.

But now we need a video where we install radio antennas for keyless entry. I already bought myself such door handles, but my Cooper S does not have an antenna, that is, the keyless entry does not work. It will be great to see a video like this!

My 2024 2 door S needed a 4mm allen ball hex. My suggestion is to purchase an inclusive set , and CYA.

Can these handles fit a mini cooper hatchback 05 plate i have the silly handles with a long button bar inside the handle you push in its hard to open both doors ?

Unfortunately they won’t but if you buy new ones they should be a little bit easier

Yeah you can as a cheaper alternative. We have tried all the options… wrapping, clip on plastic but I have found the finish is not even close to the original parts.
