Does the 2009 Passat CC have the same mirrors? In other way: Is this white Passat in the video a B7-Passat? (because I do know that my Passat CC 2009also has B7-mirrors) Super tutorial btw, good to know that it is so easy to do! 😊 😊
Someone side swiped me and got my wing mirror. The indicator is slightly cracked but still works, all of the electrics works including the camera etc but it's not holding place because something mechanical inside must be broken/popped off. I'm wondering if you have any video to help me investigate/fix. I really don't want to spend £800+ for a new one, I'm certain it can be fixed, but even if I open it up I'm not sure I'll know what I'm looking for. Help?
I’m not a mirror expert. I’d at least pop it off and see whats going on. its mostly plastic do chances are its broken. but worth looking at. there are several videos out there showing the insides of the mirror. hopefully they can help you. wish i gad the answer. 🙏🏼
Hi i am having hard time finding the driver side mirror cap cover for a 2012 vw passat 2,5 SE any idea to find one without buying the whole mirror assembly thank you
It took some effort, but I was able to pull it off! If you are having difficulties, I recommend using a second pry tool and working around the turn light.

I have a question. Did you have trouble getting the clip in the corner closest to the window clipped in because I have that problem and I've had my cap fall off and had to order another one. Don't want to make the same mistake again.
Not really. I just applied pressure around it and you will get a few extra snap sounds. I thought I had mine on but it wasn’t fully on I think because of what you are saying. If it doesn’t snap in just take it off and try it at another angle. But don’t force it. It’s worth a shot.
Ended up breaking my turn signal light & cap fell off when backing into driveway. Mirror is still attached & perfectly intact on car. How do I do this & replace turn signal as well?
I haven’t replaced the turn signal. I think the turn signal is only a couple screws. It’s been a while. But after that the cap should snap right back on like in the video.
They make replacement turn signals , I broke my entire mirror so I ordered a new (used) one when I had attempted to put in sequentials, the spring loaded key for the folding mechanism left the chat , so I just superglued it to the out position , I ordered a used one and am replacing the caps to carbon fiber since pair matching is a hell of a hastke
