Thank you for the video. Once you have replaced the seats you might get a 'airbag(s) or pretensioner seat belt(s) faulty' message, don't do what i did and unscrew the seats to check the wiring. Just pull one of the seatbelts to it's fullest extent, and sharply pull as if in an accident then switch on ignition and the message will have gone.
Replace with Leather preferably Heated Seats (3008 2011-2013), will underseat Connectors be the same? On Leather Seat versions the heated seat dial is on side, perhaps undersea is same connector & since Leather Seats incorporate the Switch, presuming it wud fit/work?
i have a 508 but the air bag light comes on intermittent, I have checked the connections under the seat and know its the drivers side but using a code reader, the error is resistance to high level drivers side airbag line front, any idea's?
Hi Ryan, I can’t find a torque figure but I think I’d be more inclined to use some thread lock and just tighten it as tight as you can with a 6” ish length ratchet.
How do you tear down the backrest of the front seats? I need to check the connector from the seat airbag. Also, the yellow plug in mine has only 1 green/yellow cable, and other wires are just cut off from he connectors with leaving 2cm of each wire. Is that normal??
I don't know about tearing down the back rest. Do the cables look like they've been left from factory or are there signs this isn't original. It may be worth checking someone hasn't disabled an airbag as you wouldn't find out until a crash.
Hello, I don’t have one to look at but from photos of parts on eBay it looks like the base is just clipped down and once the base is removed you can see the bolts to remove the upper part. I’m not 100% on that, only going by what I can see without the car.
What was that wire that you cut? If you want to put the seat back in after you've finished cleaning, have you just messed up something for ever by cutting that wire?
