today I will be showing you how to remove polygel without damaging your nails and without a drill! poly gel kit I used: bit.ly/2TuPsLu 15% off Makartt code: GABBYSNAILART * bit.ly/33N4nXh
Honestly I've been watching a lot of polygel nails videos and yours were just the best, just wanted to let you know. You tell me EXACTLY what I want to know, in short videos that are straight to the point, and also you're just fun to watch. Thank you:)
Thank you for the honestly and pointing out that it is a lengthy process. I was shocked how hard it is to take polygel off at home. Videos on YT are making it look easier and faster than it is.
A tip. Use those clips but put the cottonball in foilpacks and those clips on top and you will see they sit more tight then you will quick result. I use that merhod and an nailscraper that looks like an triangle. Xx
I damaged four of my nails my not taking the poly gel off properly and wearing them too long without a break in between. This video is a game changer for me for after my nails heal 🙌🏻🥳
Thank you for this video. I did my first set of poly gels just after christmas and my nails have grown out a lot. I’ve watched so many removal videos and found yours the most honest and helpful. I’m off to remove the nails now and just gel my natural nails i think, fingers crossed i dont ruin my nails 😁
Best video in removal of polygel. I did one finger just to try out applying the nail for the first time and came pretty good. Now you have given me a straightforward and explained everything so well. Keep up the awesome job. May God bless you
Hi! I love your videos! 😍 I just removed my first set of polygels and my nails kinda got damaged. Is there anything you can suggest to properly prep/protect the nails?
for every videos which i watch, they always show the polygel remover only with the other nail stuffs but in this video you did it just with the nail polish remover.this indeed is very helpful for me also really worked on me .thankyou gabby
you're awesome!!!! thank you so much. I'm getting my first poly gel kit Monday & wanted to see how to remove it.. I've been dipping since Feb 1 21 & love it so ready to learn more...
Thank you for this video! Have previously used the soaking method, but next time I am gonna try this out! ( am rather new to doing and removing my nails with gel and leds etc and have only had to remove my gel once. The soaking was nice, but da** if I had issues with keeping my hands still for a ”long” time)so I like to watch guiding informational videos with tips and tricks just to remind myself on what to do when it is removing time.
Is there anyway to do this without filing?? I am hyper sensitive, and I get hurt by the sound of filling (hard to explain).... Or would you recommend to use something other than polygel?? I need to strengthen my nails (have a nail condition that makes my nails very thin..) and want then a bit longer... Any recommendations would be appriciated🥰
@@shawnasalmon2892 Glad to know I'm not the only one! I love nail art, and actually are starting to get better at it, but I hate that I can't have it on my own nails... And wear it for a week without my nails chipping...
If you want something that can be removed fairly easily, doesn't require buffing or filing, and adds just a bit of strength, try Zoya Gelie-cure. It's a gel system that attaches to a special serum that strengthens the nail. That being said, it is not an enhancement that adds length, just strength, and is just a small touch of extra strength, so it might not be suitable for super long growth or if you are rough with your hands. That being said, I always do a Gelie-cure after removing polygels or any enhancements, as it helps to restore some of the strength and moisture lost by the nail prep process. It's really comfortable to wear and soaks off in just a couple of minutes (no exaggeration).
Two other options I can recommend are silk wraps and IBD builder in a bottle. (Note: neither of these are as strong as polygel, acrylic, or dip nails.) Silk wraps don't require buffing the natural nail, though there is some filing of the finished surface needed. The basic process involves placing the wrap, applying brush on resin, and curing it with a resin setter spray, then filing to smooth. It removes easily with acetone and doesn't need to be filed down first. As for IBD builder in a bottle, there are other brands of builder in a bottle, but I recommend this one because it's a soak off. You do have to buff the nail first, as well as dehydrate and prime, but it's comfortable, lightweight, and can last for a few weeks. You can wear it either as an overlay on natural nails or use it with forms to build length. It soaks off very easily, though you do need to remove the surface layer first. I've used all three and rotate through them, though the builder in a bottle is the strongest. Hope this helps.
I started to do polygel at home for myself, i did not know about this. I used my regular drill bit, looked away for 1 second and drilled a hole on thumb close to my cuticle. It hurts so bad. And still hasn't healed right. 😔🤦
What do you think about using a peel off base with the building gel? Wonder if that will work? Oh and by the way I bought the Mark art peel off base thinking it was a good brand since you use it.
I’m very new to - and late for - this Poly gel craze. But I’ve heard that the peel off/easy off makes the gels lift fairly quickly and often before you want them to.
I thought polygel didn't soak off? Well unless it specifies it does, but the polygel I have doesn't, so I thought it had to be strictly filed? That's why I haven't used it yet.
Is it possible to add some basecoat or similar, so that they come off faster? I like to design my nails, but I don't need them to stay on longer than two weeks. I have only worked with usual nail polish so far, but that stuff dries very fast, so I can't do certain designs. So I'm totally new to gel. What options are there, that are easy to take off? (Btw my nail polish stays on two weeks without looking damaged at all, so I'd just assume that gel would stay on even longer?) Idk, I really don't know what to buy. I just know that I would prefer to build than to file off the press on nails that everybody seems to use(they are very long and as far as I know usually have the same shape, so you'd have to file them if you want a different shape) Can somebody pls give me some tips?
I did the same thing but for some reason it was so hard to take it off actually one of my nail was bleeding when I was taking it off so I’m gonna do it again hopefully I will have better luck this time it was just it was very scary but we’ll see what happens !
help me, i did something stupid 😣 the polygel got stuck inside the side wall (perionychium) and i cant get it off it hurt when i touch or press my nail, tried to soak it off with asetone but its still there
Did u ever get it off I would try to file the edge so u get it to lift, then try to wipe with the slip solution or if u already have cured it then try to soak it off which might hurt and burn in the process
I’m not sure how long it was because I was eating dinner while they soaked , definitely over 30 min and I re-wet the cotton balls a few times so I would guess about an hour
@@Saintly2 Yeah, acetone does that, it dries out your nails which makes them very brittle. Do you use any nail oils? They help a lot afterwards, or you can buy strengthening polishes to put on in-between applications.
@@Chloe-gh1xh I have made up my own nail oils and use two hand creams specifically for nails. I also take biotin. I have also started adding in a lotion that has hyaluronic (sp?) acid in it to help the skin & cuticles to begin retaining moisture. I be like some crazed detective/scientist trying out stuff. 😜
Hi, I have like no experience with nails so sorry if this seems like a dumb question. 😬 Can this same method be used with Plexigel builder or shaper? Thanks in advance :)
