A good compromise would be to just remove the part you sit on and leave the back rest on, maybe just lay it down over the ugly hole made by removing the seat. Then you won't need an expensive delete kit to cover the hole. Will save less weight that way but you'll also save money and not have an eyesore behind the driver's seat. Or you can just buy a black fleece blanket and bolt it to the car and save $300.
Yes. Unfortunately, we don't have videos covering those topics. Hopefully, we can get to them in the future. I would recommend searching around to see if you can find the information you're looking for. -Landan
Do you have a video of how to remove the rear seat back in a 2016 convertible? I have no intention of ever putting a human in the rear of my car, so I want to convert the rear seat area into cargo space for my camping gear. Will I be able to pass through into the trunk so I can carry longer stuff? Thank you.
@@latemodelrestoration Apparently there is a structural piece to keep the convertible body rigid so there is no pass-thru on the convertible, which is why the seat back does not fold down. I may just remove the cushions and level the bottom with a piece of plywood and cover with carpet. I converted my RAV4 hybrid into a cargo van by removing the back seat and putting in a shelf extension to the cargo area.
Hey I’m having trouble putting the seats back. I tighten the t-50 screws as tight as to where they were factory. The drivers seat now doesn’t want to slide manually forward and back when I hold the lever. Anyone else having this problem
@@RumitheBartender You're welcome. I wish I had a direct answer, but I've never had this problem when removing and reinstalling seats in an S550 Mustang. -Landan
The seat cushion procedure is the same. The backrest is held in place with (2) bolts, (1) in each corner near the interior rear quarter panel. Then, pull the backrest up to disengage the rearward clips and remove it. -Landan
Hi Derek, The rear seat bottom will be identical and the rear seatback is similar, but the hardware will be slightly different as it's a more narrow cushion that is solid. If you have any questions, let us know.
1. Remove the rear lower seat bottom as instructed in the video. 2. There are two bolts (one per side) near the interior rear quarter panel retaining the rear seat back. Loosen and remove those. 3. Lastly, release the locking clips on the backside of the seat back to remove it from the car.
