I've been thinking about going with this kit. I'm not trying to mess my car up though. I get nervous about messing with the ECU and cutting stock lines for a T they never really explain why and what it's for? I'll try and find a Ford Dealer to do this if I can.. What's easy to other PPL is Nerve racking to other's.. I don't trust myself to not drop a bolt and lose it or mess something up.. plus I am the second owner, I bought my 2017 8 months ago with 8,909 miles and from day one I have been able to rev out to 7500 RPM if I want.. I don't I usually short shift but if I am pushing the car I will shift at 7200rpm. I hear about other people getting power lose or lock out at about 7000 rpm but I don't which is causing me to think it may have already been tuned? Unless a 17 manual performance pack can be rev'ed passed 7200rpm stock? I've had it 8 months now and it's a weekend car so I am still learning about it??
My base model, 10 spd. 22 GT is stock except for E-85 tune, K&N air filter, and MT S/S drag radials. At my local dragstrip TVRP, Noble, OK. I've run a best of 11.89 @117 in 1200 ft. density altitude.
Of course the FRPP intake is sold out everywhere and people are asking crazy amounts for used OEM units. Just sucks. My car is FBO, tuned, geared and I know I am losing a good amount of power because of this dang Dorman manifold. Makes me sad.
Geez. Idk how the ASE haven't banned the Dorman intake from use in repair shops. That's almost criminal. How can you call a replacement part something that leaves it worse than during the original failure?
I remember that cobra in the show room and my son who was about 2 years old walking up to the front a slapping the hood as we came in to pick up parts, I my son who is now 17 would like to apologize for hitting your car and thank Shannon for the hot wheels he bought out to him (Philip) Thank you sir and sorry about hitting your car and letting sit in the little pace petal car.
Sound pretty damn mean especially considering the bargain that they are. Considering how much everything costs today. Definitely worth it. Looking forward to em.
I had the fuel pump relay in the ccrm fail on an 01 3.8 car about 8 years ago. It was a nightmare trying to figure what went wrong, thank the lord for forums lol.
@@brianspangler3771 Thought the fuel pump had went out for like the 3rd time in 6 months, changed it out, car absolutely would not start. Listened for the fuel pump and discovered it wasn't kicking on, checked to see if it was getting power and it wasn't. Dug around on forums and found out about the ccrm, went to Oreilly's and got one, changed it out and it ran fine ever since.
I just put together a '97, I know, never made it. I'm running a 5.0L pushing around 500 HP with a high stall torque converter and a 4r70w trans with 8.8 327 limited slip rear. Yes it's fast.
I have a 99 3.8 - last summer had to have my CCRM replaced due to the AC/fan not engaging. This was after replacing 2 AC compressors and the actual fan. But hey, at least all those parts are new now, and that is the "silver lining" I'm hanging on to. I am seeing on a lot of the groups I'm in on FB that others are having the same issue I was having with mine before it finally went out. Thanks Landan!
I have a 95 mustang with the Megasquirt 2 PNP Gen 2. I wonder how i can get the WOT A/C CUTOFF, function to work with it. I broke a perfectly good A/C compressor doing wot pulls during tuning with the A/C on.
It should be a gound trigger, but I only know it for 1996, a pink/yellow wire or maybe just pink. Could use a lever type switch mounted to the accelerator.
@@cobrajeff96 i Believe it's the same wire (white/pink) for me too. The PNP can be programmed to cut off the AC at a TPS percentage. What i have to figure out is how to move that white/pink to the computers option harness and then i can program it.
Very common on early to mid 90’s Ford vehicles. Especially the 3.8’s. Replaced a lot of them but most common problems was broken wires at the connector. Usually identified by the large single letter on the front.
