That's right quantumfart. I just got an MMC AR-15 from Classic Firearms. I was looking up stock buffers and how to identify the milspec buffer tubes from the commercial ones.. I took mine apart and saw that the end of it is angled. That makes it a commercial tube. I learned that MILSPEC tube ends are straight. So when purchasing a new butt we'll need to remember that our buffer tubes are the "commercial" ones. Thanks for leaving the info for others to read.

Do you happen to know weather or not this stock buffer tube is a standard Dimension? Id like to swap it for a different one, before dropping $100+ on one.
for anybody who has this stock and wants to put a magpul moe 6 position buttstock. the commercial moe buttstock will fit on the ATI shotforce, the buttstock is real tight on the tube but does fit. I just put it on my stock, and hoping that in time it will loosen up more without having to lightly sanding the buffer tube down.

its, ok. after i posted the question, the "light bulb" flicked on and i looked up Commercial Buffer tube dimensions & Measured it with a caliper. it is in fact a standard dimension. Weather or not it will actually work or not is still a question i need to answer. has the 5Degree angle, the tube measures 1.168" i believe it was
sorry quantumfart, I don't know if the stock buffer is a standard dimension. I would check the ATI site for the specs or email ATI. Do you know the dimension you are looking for?
When I pull straight down on the pin it doesn't go all the way down. It stays up just enough that I can't get the stock on. Is there anything else I can do to get the pin down further?
+Dominic Torres Is the plunger broken also, or just the lever? If you can see the plunger, try using a pair of channel locks or vise grips. If it's too smooth, try using duct tape or something similar to wrap what piece is left, to get a better grip.
Hi, just wondering what size Allen wrench is use to remove it, I have a the same stock on my winchester 1300 defender but can't figure out what size Allen I need
@@MrMnmn911 my bad, I'm meant to explain that I'm trying to remove the whole stock of my shotgun, removing the butt stock off does help but I still can't see what size of allen wrench I need to unscrew it, I don't have the original tool so I'll have to get creative, just would hate to cut and adapt a bunch of them

hmmm. I'm not sure what you mean. I don't recall needing washers for the cheek rest. Did you remove the buffer tube completely from the buffer tube mount? If that's what you mean...the washers go onto the buffer tube mounting bolt, flat washer first, then lock washer, then the nut. If you mean the nuts that are for the cheek rest rails; those go into the small cavities on the back side of the cheek rest rails. After you attach the rails onto the butt stock, then the cheek rest screws thread into those nuts. I hope this makes sense, if not let me know. Have you watched my installation video for this?
Is That a mil spec or commercial tube?. I just bought a win sxp extreme defender but my stock is pinned for some reason and no I'm not in california. Would like a ctr stock on there but need to know the size. Any info would be appreciated.
