I have a '63 35x and having treated the wheel with Plusgas and heat over a few weeks and tried several different general purpose pullers I bought a custom-made puller from ebay that worked really well - £60 well spent. For the first time in 24 years I now have an almost slop-free steering.
Nice and slow! Well done and thanks. I have to remove the steeringwheel on my mf35x and it also seem to be stuck on there real good. Saw another video where they cracked the shaft trying to force it off with a puller. Thanks and have a great day!
Thanks a ton for the helpful tips, buddy! Man I've been fighting with our '64 model's wheel for several hours over the past few weeks haha! But I've got just one question: Now is that rust "remover" or just plain ol rust penetrate like PB Blaster and such?
@@mf35xtips39 well I sure am glad you decided to do so! Bc I reeeeally didn't want to cut off the original wheel like a couple of other youtube guys were resorting to 🙄😆 sucks for them though lol. But I truly appreciate it, good sir. If I can remember to, I'll jump back on here and let you and y'all know how it went when I get mine off, hopefully it won't be bad news instead of good news! 😂 🤞
