Thanks 🙏🏻 I spent an hour of my life trying everything from rubbing alcohol to nail varnish remover and everything in between trying to remove the devils own sticky residue from a metal container. It just kept getting stickier with every procedure! I was about to give up when I came upon your tip of wd 40 ~ within seconds it was sticky no more!

Thank you! First I tried heating it with a hairdrier, but only the top came off (the shiny part I guess and not the actual glue) and then I tried vinegar and it really helped. It came off of the wood nicely and it didn't leave a mark! :)

The wd-40 on metal helped me get the annoyingly strong adhesive off my laptop from when I removed the stupid stickers the factory always put on the keyboard area. The alcohol then helped me remove the wd-40 and leftover residue... all with no scratches. Thanks!

my phone ring holder's adhesive tore off and a portion of it is stuck on my phone's glass back. does 70% isopropyl alcohol work or will it damage the glass?

Help! I have two large glass doors on our monastery shop that has large stickers covering most of the door. They've been baked into the glass for about 7 years now and it's my job to remove them. I've tried hot water, soapy warm water and mineral spirits and this doesn't help. I am using a razor with a handle and pressing, pushing very very hard and it is coming off but with much difficulty and very very slow going. Please help me. Any suggestions?

I got a baseball card holder which I can't take the card out of with sticker residue on it and the holder is made of plastic. I don't want to use water in case of it damaging the card. Got any ideas on how to get it off without water?

Great question, Pat! If the holder is made from plastic, you would likely have the most success with the vegetable oil method if you use only a tiny amount. Alternatively, the product "Goo Gone" might be helpful for you! But again, definitely use small amounts as to not damage the card. Hope this helps!

How do you get it off the easily stained soft rubber material that are usually found on computers? Cuz my sunglasses are made of that and the sticker residue is really annoying please help

Great question! We've never tried it, but we'd bet a VERY small amount of the product "Goo Gone" on a cloth would help to remove it. But we'd only try a tiny bit!

I came here for help with sticker residue from a rubik's cube puzzle thing. I took them all off (not to cheat, i know how to solve them - It's a ghost cube puzzle so the stickers dont matter) already, so will the method for plastic still work on all the sticky facets?

Great question! We recommend either WD-40 or olive oil. Both should sit on the residue for a couple minutes. Then, go ahead and scrape off the residue with your fingernail or a plastic knife. After that, you'll just clean off the WD-40/olive oil and you'll be good to go! :)

I use Contact Cement Solvent. It has never harmed any plastic surface. Brush it right onto the label gently with a tooth brush. Wait 2 minutes and peel off from the underside with a utility knife blade at a very acute angle. There is almost no resistance when you lift up the label or glue mess. It's like removing paper held onto a surface with a film of water. If any glue remains use the blade again to lift it off. Test it on any surface you intend to work on with a small amount to see if it damages it. It even works on painted plastic without any harm.

Hey there! It would depend on what the actual box is made out of. If it's cardboard, that can get a little tricky. In that case, slowly scraping off the glue may be your best bet.

Hey there! You can always take the motorcycle to a body shop or back to where you purchased it and ask them to remove the sticker for you. If you aren't able to do that, you can also try using a blow dryer to lightly heat up the sticker to make it easier to remove, and then using Goo Gone with a soft cloth to remove the residue. Hey there! Begin by removing as much of the adhesive as you can with your fingers and scrape gently with a credit card, then take WD-40 on a rag to get rid of the residue! The video gives step by step directions for metal starting at :50 seconds! Hope this helps(:
