How to remove stuck cylinder from office chair base

yeah i tried that, the tube broke apart and most of it came off, now there's only a hollow metal cylinder stuck in the base of my chair, i call that an improvement

Wd40 left it overnight, hammered it into oblivion and it’s still stuck in the chair. Fml.

I've been trying to separate the base of my chair from the base for multiple days and I've had no luck. Even doing this.

Use penetrating oil or wd40. Use a hammer and hit the cylinder from side to side at the base to remove the bottom side. For the top side use channel locks or pipe wrench and twist.

WTF I just started hammering away and the wheelbase came off along with the cylinder bit it's just stuck 😂

My column is really stuck and doesn't stick out the bottom like this chair. I used rubber mallet, small hammer and normal hammer. The lifter came out but column is still stuck. I have used penetrating oil but still stuck. I'm trying to avoid replacing the base. Any suggestions?

In normal fight stick terms it would be: 6 -> 5 -> 2 -> (3 + right punch)

I got the 5 star base off, but can't get the cylinder out of the seat part. It just won't budge at all. Tried a pipe wrench, silicon spray and it is stuck solid! 🥺Help!

Mine is literally a inch away from the top, lol.
